Easy Fancy Black & White Christmas Card

Welcome to this month’s Build & Bloom Stampers Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is: Black & White.

I decided to make a Black & White Christmas Card as my project for this blog hop. Plus it meant that i could use some more of the Modern Christmas Designer Series Papers.

How to make my Black & White Christmas Card

I started off with a Basic White landscape card base which I scored in half and then cut the front flap at an angle to make a triangle.

Next I die cut a black and white mat layer using the Designer Series Paper from the Modern Christmas DSP pack and stuck it to the inside of the card base, I then cut another may layer using another one of the Black and White sheets of DSP. I cut this diagonally in half and stuck it onto the card front panel.

I then cut a piece of Basic Black card stock and folded it in half to make a tent fold card, Following this I cur two Basic White mat layers (one for the front and one for the inside).

Using the Branching Out stamp set and Black Memento ink I stamped a branch on one of the Basic White mat layers. I then stamped the Fir tree leaves along the branch. I stamped some off onto scrap paper to make a lighter tone. I then stamped some pine cones on the branch. On the second Basic White mat layer I stamped the sentiment ‘Wishing you a day filled with Many Happy Moments’ in the middle and a stamped off pine cone in the bottom right-hand corner.

Finally I stuck the Basic Black card onto the middle of the back if the card base so that it overhung the front triangle.
