Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is: Ephemera Page.

The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Julia Quinn.

This month’s theme certainly took me back a few years when there used to be loads of Ephemera around in the UK to help you with Scrapbook Layouts. Luckily Stampin’ Up! has some lovely Ephemera Packs to use as well as their Scrapbook Workshop Kits. So I have decided to make a double scrapbook layout using ephemera for my cruise later this month.
How I made my Double Scrapbook Layout using Ephemera.

First I chose to use Basic Black 12″x12″ card stock for my base layer as it would make the ephemera pop. Next using a circle (either a stencil or a plate) I drew around it using a White Gel Pen about 3 times moving the circles slightly off from each other.
How to make page 1 of my Double Scrapbook Layout using Ephemera.

For my first page of my double scrapbook layout using ephemera I decided to use mainly the sea side die cuts from the Something For Everything Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I laid out the die cuts I wanted and once I was happy I stuck them down onto one of the Basic Black scrapbook base layers. Some went around the circle whilst others I used to fill in some gaps.
Next I added my Title ‘Celebrate’ from the Birthday Treats Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. Luckily there were two so I could use one on each scrapbook layout.
I then cut two 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ Photo Mat layers using Basic White card stock. I also cut out a Journaling mat layer again using Basic White card stock.
How to make page 2 of my Double Scrapbook Layout using Ephemera.

For my second page of my double scrapbook layout using ephemera I decided to go with a birthday/celebration theme using the Birthday Treats Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I arranged the die cuts going around the circle and added the other ‘Celebrate’ title to the bottom right-hand side of the layout.
For my photo mat layers I again cut two 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ layers using Basic White card stock, a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ mat layer and finally a journaling mat layer.
How to make finish off my Double Scrapbook Layout using Ephemera.
To finish off my double scrapbook layout using ephemera I laid the Basic White mat layers on top of the page layouts and once I was happy with them I stuck them onto each page. So they are now ready to add the photographs from the ‘Celebration Night’ on the cruise.
I do how up have enjoyed seeing how I made my double scrapbook layout using just Ephemera Packs. These layouts are so simple to do and you only need a few resources to make them.
