Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is: Creative Background.
The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Delys Cram.
As some of you know I love making a creative background scrapbook layout as you can use so many elements. This month I got my inspiration from Danielle Wagner who did a double scrapbook layout using stamped images for her background. As it is my son’s wedding at the end of April and as I will be Mother of the Groom I wanted to make a scrapbook layout to show off my wedding outfit.
How I made my Creative Background Scrapbook Layout
I started with a piece of 12×12 Basic White card stock. Next I stamped the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set along the top and bottom edges using Night of Navy and Starry Sky ink. You will see that some of the images I stamped off onto scrap paper to make a lighter shade.
Next I cut this piece in half along the diagonal before sticking each piece onto a 12×12 sheet of Night of Navy card stock. I then die cut two of the deep pink flowers from the Hues of Happiness designer series paper. Next I stamped and die cut more leaves onto Basic White card stock again using Night of Navy and Starry Sky ink. I will use these to decorate my title and add behind the die cut flowers.
How I made the title for my Creative Background Scrapbook Layout
I cut a small piece of Melon Mambo card stock to add my title (when I’ve decided that to call it) and laid it onto the layout. Next I added the die cut leaves behind it and stuck them down when I was happy with them. I then added one of the flowers to each bottom right corner and added some leaves behind them.
To finish off my layout I cut some mat layers to add three photos to and one for my journaling of the day. I hope you have seen my double page creative background scrapbook layout. Why not have a go yourself and share on to my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,

Gorgeous colours and my favourite stamp, I think I will be very sad if it leaves when this catalogue ends in April. Thanks again Cheryl for joining us on our monthly hop, I am loving all the inspiration. Cheers Shaz
