This month’s three colours are Costal Cabana, Real Red and Basic Gray

For this month’s Colour Combo blog hop I thought I would recreate the Christmas Stocking Gift or Voucher card I made for a blog hop yesterday but this time using Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Basic Gray.

How to make the Christmas Stocking Card

I started by cutting a piece of A4 Basic Gray card stock in half along the short edge and scored in half to make the card base. Next I cut a 10cm x 14.3cm piece of Basic White card stock.

Using the candy cane image and the star image from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set I made my own background paper. I stamped the candy cane image using the Real Red ink and then I stamped the stars using Coastal Cabana ink.

Next I stamped the Christmas Greetings sentiment onto Basic White card stock using Real Red ink. I then cut a mat layer using Basic Gray card stock and stuck the sentiment onto it before sticking onto the bottom of the card base.

Next I die cut the tag using the tag die from Stocking dies and Basic Gray card stock. I then punched a hole at the pointed end and threaded some Linen thread to make the tag string. I stuck the tag onto the card base as an angle.

Next I die cut the stockings, stocking tops, heal and foot out of Coastal Cabana and Real Red card stock. I then put the stocking components together so that they coordinated before sticking onto the Basic Gray tag.

I finished off the card by adding some Metallic Pearls to the sentiment. Now I can decide if I want to keep it as a card or add some Tear and Tape Adhesive to the inside and use it as a Gift or Voucher card.
