For my project for the July 2021 Colour Combo I decided to continue with the Hand Penned Petals stamp set theme from my previous blog hop.

How to make my Colour Combo card

I started with a card base using Basic White Thick card stock. I then cut a Soft Succulent mat layer which I stuck onto the card base. Next I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock. One cut at 8cm x 9cm and the other cut at 3cm x 9cm. I then cut two mat layers using Blackberry Bliss card stock. One at 8.5cm x 9.5cm and the other at 3.5cm x 9.5cm. These I will use to back the cut Basic White card stock.

Stamping the images using first and second generation stamping.

Next I stamped the solid flowers using Blackberry Bliss and Cherry Cobbler ink. I experimented with rolling the inked stamp onto a piece of scrap paper so I when I stamped it onto the Basic White card stock I got both the first and second generation stamped image as Blackberry Bliss and Cherry cobbler can be quite dark when using direct from the ink pad. I then did the same with the leaf stamps and Soft Succulent ink.

Next I stamped the Thanks sentiment onto the remaining piece of Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink. I then mounted both pieces of Basic White card stock onto the Blackberry Bliss card stock before adding to the Soft Succulent may layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish off the card I coloured in some Pearl Basic Jewels using the Blackberry Bliss Dark Blend before added them to the card

I love how simple and quick this card was to make. Why don’t you have a go at making a similar card using this month’s colour combo.
