Welcome to the April 2021 Colour Combo Blog Hop

The colour combo for this month is Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Old Olive

When I saw these three colours for the Colour Combo April 2021 Blog Hop I knew straight away that I would use the Brushed Blooms stamp set and matching dies to make some birthday cards.

I started by stamping the brush stroke image using the three colours using a variety of first generation and second generation stamping.

Photo showing stamped brush stroke images in the three colours.

Next I die cut the large flower using the larger flower dies. Then I experimented using the dies and Cherry Cobble and So Saffron card stock. I also experimented by stamping the large flower image onto Basic White card stock. I finally decided on these three. Next I die cut the leaves using Old Olive card stock.

Card 1

I made the flower for this card by die cutting the large base image in So Saffron card stock. Next I die cut the middle image in Cherry Cobbler card stock and the top layer in So Saffron. I then added leaves to the back of the flower. Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using Old Olive ink and punched it out using the Classic Label punch and added to a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Card 2

I made the flower for this card by die cutting the large base image in Cherry Cobbler card stock. Next I die cut the middle image in Cherry Cobbler card stock and the top layer in So Saffron. I then added leaves to the back of the flower. Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using So Saffron ink and punched it out using the Classic Label punch and added to a strip of So Saffron card stock.

Card 3

Photo of third Colour Combo birthday card using a So Saffron mat layer, Brushed Blooms stamp set and matching dies.

I made the flower for this card by stamping the large flower image onto So Saffron card stock using So Saffron ink. Then I die cut the large base image. Next I die cut the middle and top layer using So Saffron card stock. To make the layers stand out I sponged the top layer using So Saffron ink. I then added leaves to the back of the flower. Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink and punched it out using the Classic Label punch and added to a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Once I had completed all 3 cards I felt they needed some bling so I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to each card.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made these three birthday cards using the Suggested Colour Combo and the Brushed Blooms stamp set and matching dies. Please go away and have a go yourself as they are really quite easy to make.

Thank you for visiting my website today, remember to keep stampin n crafting.
