Welcome to the May 2021 Colour Combo Blog Hop

The colour combo for this month is Flirty Flamingo, Shaded Spruce and Magenta Madness

When I saw these three colours for the Colour Combo May 2021 Blog Hop I knew straight away that I would use them to make a Well Done card for a work colleague who has just finished her first year of her degree.

How to make the card

I started off by cutting a 14.85cm x 10.5cm Basic White Thick card base. Next I cut a 14.3cm x 10cm mat layer using Flirty Flamingo card stock. Then I cut a 13.85cm x 9.5cm mat layer from Basic White card stock.

On the Basic White mat layer I stamped the large image from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set using Black Memento Ink.

I then coloured in the leaves using the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. Next I coloured in the flowers using the Flirty Flamingo and Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends.

Once the colouring was done I stuck the Basic White mat layer onto the Magenta Madness mat layer before sticking both onto the card base.

Finishing off the card

I then cut a 7.5cm x 3.5cm mat layer from Flirty Flamingo card stock and a 7cm x 3cm mat layer from Basic White card stock. Then I needed to find a suitable sentiment and found then from the Lets Create Together (SU: 154918) stamp set. I stamped the Congratulations sentiment using Black Memento Ink and the You Did It using Magenta Madness ink. Next I stuck the Basic White mat layer onto the Flirty Flamingo mat layer before sticking onto the bottom of the card.

Finally to finish the card I stuck three Rhinestone Jewels on to the card.
