Welcome to the Ink, Stamp and Share Monthly Blog Hop

The theme this month is Christmas in July

I know it is only July but do you realise it is only 154 days until Christmas Day and if like me you leave it until the last minute to send out your Christmas Cards then why not start making them in July.

Our new August to December Mini Catalogue is due out very soon and of course it has some wonderful Christmas products. For my Christmas Cards in July I have chosen to use the Sweet Little Stockings and matching dies. Of course if your order is over £45 between 03/08/2021 and 30/09/2021 then you can claim a FREE product from our Sale-a-bration catalogue.

My First Christmas Card in July

Christmas in July Card- Finished Card

I started off by stamping the dog and cat images onto Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink. Next I stamped the stockings and woolly hats using the same ink and card stock.

I decided I wanted a subtle card so I chose to colour in the images using the Watercolouring Pencils and a Blender Pen.

Once I had coloured in the stamped images I then die cut them out using the Stockings dies. I stuck each animal onto one of the stockings and added hats to the dogs. I did try to make them look like both of my dogs and my elderly cat.

Next I die cut a 9.5cm x 13.8cm Old Olive mat layer and embossed it using the XXX embossing folder as I wanted a subtle textured background.

I then stuck the made up stockings onto it before adding it to a Basic White Thick card base.

Finishing off my Christmas Card in July

For the sentiment I stamped one of the sentiments onto Basic White card stock using Old Olive ink and stuck it to the front of the card by using Stampin Dimensionals on each end to make the card bend over the stockings. This also made the card no thicker than 1 Stampin Dimensional high which is ideal for posting.

Finally to finish off the card I used Wink of Stella on the fluffy bits on the woolly hats and added some Rhinestone Jewels to the sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my first Christmas Card in July and want to go away and have a go yourself. Please do let me know what you came up with.

Thank you for visiting my website today, remember to keep stampin n crafting.
