Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop
This Month’s Theme is Colouring Tips
When I saw this month’s theme I know that I wanted to make some cards using the Water Colouring Technique on the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Papers as these are ideal to colour in.
How I made my cards using the Water Colouring Technique
I started by cutting 2 card bases using Basic White Thick card stock. Next I cut my Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper in half at 6″ to make a more manageable size to colour. I then started by colouring in the DSP using the Water Colouring Pencils from both Assortment Packs.
Once I was happy with my colouring I blended the water colouring using a Blender Pen as I find that these give you a more vibrant colour. When I blend using a Water Painter I get a much lighter washed colour.
I coloured the flowers in one colour at a time and whilst I was colouring built up areas so the colour was not all the same shade. This was then repeated for the leaves and the butterflies.
How I finished my cards using the Water Colouring Technique
Once I had coloured in all of the elements I cut the DSP into 3 14.3cm x 10cm pieces and added them to the Basic White card bases. For the sentiment I stamped the sentiment using Memento ink onto Basic White card stock. Next I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock to make a mat layer and added to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope that you like how I have used the Perfectly Pencilled DSP to make my cards. I am going to try colouring some in using the re-inkers and a Water Painter and some more using the Stampin’ Blends so that I have examples of each type of colouring. Why not have a go yourself and share your colouring on my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
