Ink, Stamp, Share Logo 2022

Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop

The theme this month is a card sketch

Card Sketch - Ink, Stamp, Share

What better way to make a card than using a card sketch. When using a card sketch you can either copy it as shown, turn it around or just use elements of it. For my project this month I decide to copy the card sketch as shown to make a birthday card.

How to make a Birthday Card using the card sketch

Photo of finished Birthday Card using a Card Sketch

I started by making a 10.5cm x 14.85cm landscape card base using Basic White Thick card stock. Next I cut a 10cm x 14.3cm mat layer using Old Olive card stock. Next I cut the three strips of Basic White card stock leaving a border around each one. For the two narrow strips I stamped the dot image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set it using Old Olive ink. Next I stamped the flower image onto the remaining piece of card stock again using Old Olive card stock.

For the sentiment I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White again using Old Olive ink before die cutting it out using the scalloped circle from the Layered Circle dies. I then die cut a larger scalloped circle using Old Olive card stock. For the spring I used the Sprig punch and punched two out using Old Olive card stock and two out of vellum. I then stuck the sentiment onto the card front using Stampin Dimensionals. Next I stuck the spring under the sentiment. Finally I added a bow using the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Birthday Card made using the card sketch. Why not have a go yourself and see what cards you can make using the card sketch.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
