Welcome to the Stamp Impressions Europe Group Monthly Blog Hop.

This month we are all sharing projects using some of the July Online Exclusive products.

This month to make my adorable cute scarecrow card I am using the Fun For Fall stamp set and matching dies.

How I made my Adorable Cute Scarecrow Card Background

First I cut a landscape card base using Basic Black card stock. I then cut a mat layer using Basic White card stock which I will use for my blended background.

Photograph of finished adorable cute scarecrow card.

Next I placed a circle piece of acetate onto the Basic White mat layer for the moon and blended Hydrangea Hue ink over the top 2/3rds of the card stock. I then used Crisp Cantaloupe ink and blended it along the edge of the Hydrangea Hue ink. Next I blended Peaceful Pine ink along the bottom of the card stock. As I wanted a darker sky I blended some Misty Moonlight ink over the Hydrangea Hue ink so that it looked like dark clouds. I then removed the acetate circle and blended Lemon Lolly ink over the white space.

I then stamped the scarecrow onto the bottom of the blended background so that he was just in front of the sun and coloured him in using the following blends:

  • Basic Black (Light & Dark) for the hat and dungarees.
  • Smoky Slate (Light & Dark) for his shirt and face.
  • Gray Granite (Light & Dark) for his knotted scarf.
  • Crumb Cake (Light) for the straw hair and hands.

I then used a White Gel Pen to outline his body where the light would be.

How I finished off my Adorable Cute Scarecrow Card.

First I die cut out the fence using Basic Black card stock and cut it in half before sticking it to the blended background. I used the White Gel Pen to add highlights to the top of the fence. I then used Wink of Stella and Golden Glow Shimmer Pen to flick splats over the card before adding it to the card base.

I have loved using this bundle to make such an adorable cute scarecrow card and I will be making more cards with different backgrounds. Why not have a go at doing a blended background remember you can use another stamp set and die bundle to make your card.

Of course I would love to see what you make so please do pop a picture onto my Facebook page.
