Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: Blue and White Colour Combo.
Like most people I struggle with making Masculine card so when I saw the Linked Together Decorative Masks I just had use them to make a Blue and White Masculine card. By using masks I am able to decide how many layers I wanted to use.

How to make my Blue and White Masculine card.
First I cut a Basic White mat layer to use the masks and do my blending on. I started with Mask 1 and using a blending brush I blended Balmy Blue ink over it. Next using Mask 2 I blended Balmy Blue ink to make a darker colour. I decided to then change colour ink so for Mask 3 I used Lost Lagoon ink. I then repeated it for Mask 4 again using Lost Lagoon ink. Finally as I wanted a really dark blue I chose to use Night Of Navy ink on the final mask.

Once I had finished using all 5 masks and blending brushes I then knew which colours I would be using for my card base and mat layers. So I made my portrait card base using Night of Navy card stock and two different coloured mat layers. One using Balmy Blue card stock and one using Basic White card stock. As I was using Night of Navy card stock for my card base I had to cut another Basic White mat layer for the inside layer of my blue and white masculine card.
Help my stencilled layer is too small on my Blue and White Masculine card.
Now I then had a slight problem as here in the UK we use A4 sized card stock and the US used Letter size so the stencilled image is too narrow for our A6 card base. To get over this I decided to use the stencilled pattern at an angle so I cut down the corners so that it would fit onto my card base and mat layers. Once I was happy with the sizing I stuck it onto the front of my card.
How to make the sentiment for my Blue and White Masculine card.

Now I knew my colours I chose to stamp the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set using Night of Navy ink onto Basic White card stock. This I punched out using the 1 3/4″ circle punch. Next for my sentiment mat layer I punched out a circle using the 2″ circle punch using Lost Lagoon card stock and stuck it behind the stencilled layer making sure that my stamped sentiment circle fitted. Finally I added the stamped sentiment circle on top of the Lost Lagoon circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish off the card I used some of the Iridescent Faceted Gems as embellishments.
I do hope that you have enjoyed seeing how I made my blue and white masculine card. I will be trying it with different colour schemes to make some more masculine cards.
