Ink, Stamp, Share Showcase Blog Hop Image

Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp and Share Showcase Blog Hop

For my showcase blog hop this month I though I would use the Hand Penned Petals stamp set and matching dies to make a box of Birthday Cards to give to someone special.

I started off by cutting five card bases using Basic White Thick card stock and put them to one side.

1st Birthday Card

For my first card I cut four strips of Designer Series Paper and stuck them onto a piece of Misty Midnight to make a mat layer. Next I die cut a piece of Basic White card stock using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then stamped one of the large flower images onto the die cut piece of card. Next I stamped the solid flower using Highland Heather ink before stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment. To finish off the card I mounted the die cut mat layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added some Pastel Pearls.

2nd Birthday Card

For my second birthday card I cut a mat layer using Misty Moonlight card stock and cut two strips of Designer Series Paper and stuck them onto the mat layer. Next I again die cut a Basic White mat layer using the Stitched Rectangles Dies and stamped the same Happy Birthday sentiment. This time I stamped two of the individual flower stamps onto Basic White card stock and die cut them out together with two sets of leaves using Garden Green card stock. I stuck the flowers and leaves onto the Basic White mat layer and stuck it to the card again using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This time I finished off the card using Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

3rd Birthday Card

For my third Birthday card I again used the Designer Series Paper. I then stamped one of the large flower images onto Basic White card stock. Next I stamped the solid flower images using Highland Heather ink. I stamped the larger flower straight from the ink pad onto the card stock but the second one I stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper before stamping onto the card stock. I love how I can get two different shade by stamping off onto scrap paper before stamping onto the actual card stock. Next I die cut the flower and stuck it onto the card. I then die cut a sentiment box using the Stitched Rectangles dies and this time I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Happy Birthday Chick stamp set. To finish off the card I again used Pastel Pearls.

4th Birthday Card

For my fourth Birthday Card I cut a mat layer using Highland Heather card stock. Next I cut a mat layer using Basic White card stock. I then stamped one of the large flower images onto the Basic White mat layer using Highland Heather ink before sticking onto the Highland Heather mat layer. I then cut a 7cm square from Garden Green card stock and a 6.5cm square from Highland Health card stock. Next I cut a 6cm square from Basic White card stock onto which I stamped the same flower image that I used for the Highland Heather mat layer. I then stamped the solid flower images using Highland Heather ink and the leaves using Garden Green ink. I finished off the card using some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

5th Birthday Card

For my fifth and final card I again cut a Highland Heather mat layer and a Basic White mat layer. I then stamped the other large flower stamp onto another piece of Basic White card stock and die cut it out. Next I stamped the solid flower images using Highland Heather, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink. I just had to get some pink in somewhere!! Next I stamped the solid leaf images again using Garden Green Ink. I die cut another set of leaved using Garden Green card stock. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment onto the Basic White mat layer using Black Memento ink. Next I stuck the leaves onto the mat layer before adding the stamped flower image using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished off the card using Pastel Pearls.

Finishing off the Box of Birthday Cards

To finish off the box of birthday cards I used a Acetate Card Box and added some Gorgeous Grape ribbon to go around it and I finished it off with a bow.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Box of Birthday Cards and how each one is made. Please do have a go yourself and see what you can do by changing the colour scheme. I wonder what they would look like using Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight inks and card stock. You never know one of these cards may appear on another blog hop.

Thank you for visiting my website today. Remember to keep stampin n crafting.
