A Beautiful Blended Card to Celebrate my Female Friends

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.

This Month’s Theme is: Celebrating Women.

When I saw this month’s theme it reminded me of all the amazing women I have been privileged to work with in the NHS and Children’s Social Care so I decided to make a card to Celebrate your Female best friend. In both the NHS and Children’s Social Care we often did not get chance to just go outside to sit down and have a drink and a chat so when I saw the Coffee with Friends it reminded me of the times we managed to actually do this.

How I made my blended card to celebrate my female friends.

First using a Basic White mat layer I stamped the image of two females having a drink on a bench onto the Basic White mat layer. I then took a piece of acetate and die cut a circle in to to make a mask. Next using the die cut circle as a mask on top of the stamped image I blended the rest of the Basic White mat layer using Balmy Blue ink, Granny Apple Green ink and blending brushes.

I then took away the circle mask and coloured in the stamped image using various Stampin’ Write Markers.

Once I was happy with my colouring I added this mat layer to a Basic Black mat layer before adding both to a Basic White landscape card base.

Once I know who my card is for I will stamp one of the sentiments from Coffee with Friends inside and pop a drinks voucher in it as a way to celebrate our friendship.
