Hi my name is Cheryl Taylor and I own Stampin n crafting with Cheryldiana.ator.
All About Me, who I am and why I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
I live in the village of Burwell, Cambridgeshire, England with my husband and 2 cats and 2 dogs.
I have been interested in stamping and crafting since a very small child when I was given a John Bull letter stamp set and lovely afternoons spent with my great aunt learning to sew.
I moved onto scrapbooking (Memory Keeping) when I moved to Burwell in 2008 as I wanted a way to put all of my children’s photographs and mementos into one album. I had some in an adhesive backed photo album but I was not happy with how they looked so I joined the village Scrapbook Group and learnt how to make a Scrapbook album.
Over the years I have used loads of different crafting suppliers but I really struggled to find matching shades of a colour card, ribbon and embellishments.
So in 2008/2009 a scrapbooking friend introduced me to a new company who not only did crafting products including stamp sets but everything coordinated. Even down to the ribbons and embellishments. That company was Stampin’ Up! I started to look through the catalogue and from then on I was hooked. I was able to produce scrapbook layout pages and card where everything coordinated. This made my cards and scrapbook pages look so professional.
In 2016 I decided to become an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! as I wanted to take advantage of the 20% discount. This meant I could get much more for my money. This enabled me to share my passion with other crafters through classes, workshops and craft fayres.
In 2021, after 5 years, I took a break to recover from an major car accident and the Covid Lockdown. I signed up again in July 2022 as I enjoyed the products and getting the discounted products by being an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. This has again enabled me to share my passion with other crafters through classes, workshops and craft fayres.
Also I have found after having jobs in the public sector that stamping and crafting is an amazing way to switch off from everyday situations and stresses. I use it for ‘me time’ as well as a way to meet other people and share my love of card making and scrapbooking.
At the beginning of 2024 I decided to give up working in the Public Sector after 20 years, to make more time for me to do what I love most which is working with my husband on our Lettings and Management Company whilst still being able to continue sharing my love of Scrapbooking and card making.
Meeting people at Demonstrator Only Events.
One of my favourite things about being a demonstrator are the Stampin’ Up! On Stage events where I get to meet other demonstrators face to face. I receive the latest catalogue before anyone else, see other independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcasing new suites and of course the ability to order new products before anyone else.
During Covid I have been able to attend these events virtually which has meant I have been able to meet a wider of fellow demonstrators in France, Germany, Austria and The Netherlands all from the comfort of my craft room.
In November 2022 I was able to attend our 1st Face to Face event since Covid with an OnStage Live in Vienna, Austria and loved catching up with old friends, friends I had only met virtually and of course making new friends. Since then I have attended OnStage Live in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and I am currently planning on attending the next one in Strasburg, France.

I would love to share these experiences with you so if you would like to find out more about the benefits of becoming an Independant Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator then have a look at my Joining My Team page.
