Welcome to the Stamp Impressions Europe Group Monthly Blog Hop..This month we are all sharing projects using the same card sketch.

For my card this month I decided to use the card sketch to design a monochromatic card that I could also use for the weekly monochromatic Instagram hop I take part in each week.

How I made my card using the card sketch

First I cut a landscape card base using Basic White card stock. I then cut a Peaceful Pine card stock mat layer and adhered it to the Basic White card base. Next I cut a smaller mat layer again using Basic White card stock.

I then took a circle mask that I had made by punching out a circle in acetate using one of the circle punches. Using Peaceful Pine ink and a blending brush I blended around the outside of the circle mask. I made it a deeper shade in the corners and along the edges. Next using the line image I stamped it all over the blending again using Peaceful Pine ink.

Next I stamped the ‘fluttering by to say hi’ sentiment in the middle of the circle again using Peaceful Pine ink.

How I finished off my Card using a Card Sketch

I stamped the butterfly images onto Basic White cardstock using the Basic Black Hybrid ink and punched them out using the punch. I coloured the butterflies in using the Peaceful Pine Shimmer Pen. I did try it with stamping the butterflies using Peaceful Pine ink but it did not work out veery well. Finally I added some of the clear Dewdrops Embellishments.

I really enjoyed making this card using the card sketch and am so pleased in how it turned out. As you know I di love my butterflies and I will certainly be using this stamp set and punch on future projects. Hummm now what colours to use on my next one?
