Easy Monochromatic Floral Cards

Welcome to this month’s Build & Bloom Stampers Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is: Floral.

This month I have decided to show you a couple of monochromatic floral cards that I made using Darling Duckling products from the 2025-2027 In Color family. Both cards are made in the same way but by using different Designer Series Papers and moving the front flap along to make two totally different looking floral cards.

How I made my Monochromatic Floral Cards

First I cut a sheet of Darling Duckling card stock to make a portrait card base. Next I cut a mat layer using the Darling Duckling 2025-2027 InColor DSP. I then cut a strip of Darling Duck card stock and folded it into 2 to make a flap.

For the front of the flap I cut a piece of Basic White card stock to make a mat layer. Next I cut a smaller mat layer using another piece of the Darling Duckling 2025-2027 InColor DSP. Once I had stuck these mat layers onto the front flap I tuck the flap to the card front.

How I embellished my Monochromatic Floral Cards

First using Darling Duckling card stock I die cut the oval and the flower using the Swirled Designs Dies. I then cut the oval again bit this time using Basic White card stock. I stamped the ‘Just a Note’ sentiment onto the Basic White die cut oval using Darling Duckling ink. Finally I stuck the die cut flower onto the front panel followed by the stamped Basic White oval and then the Darling Duckling outside oval. To finish off the cards I added some Darling Duckling Flat Pearl gems.
