Simple Monochromatic Thank You Card

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.

This Month’s Theme is: Thanks/Gratitude.

For my project this month I have decided to make a simple monochromatic Thank You card. Making a monochromatic Thank You card enables you to use what you already have in your stash and can be done in so many colour ways.

How I made my Monochromatic Thank You Card

First using Basic White card stock I cut a portrait card base. I then cut a mat layer using Soft Sea Foam card stock (you could also use Soft Sea Foam Two-Tone cardstock). I then stamped the small flower image all over the mat layer using Soft Sea Foam ink. This was then stuck onto the card base.

Next I stamped the large leaf image twice onto Soft Sea card stock using Soft Sea ink before die cutting them out. (if you do not have a die cutting machine you can fussy cut them out by hand. These were then stuck onto the card front.

How I made the sentiment layer

First I punched out 2 circles in Basic White card stock, 1 using the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch and the other using the 1 7/8″ Circle Punch. I then punched out a circle using the Soft Sea Foam Two-Tone card stock using the 2″ Circle Punch. I stamped the ‘Thank You’ sentiment onto the smallest circle using Soft Sea Foam ink before layering up each circle. Then I attached it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
