Welcome to this month’s Build & Bloom Stampers Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is: Celebration.

For this month I have decided to make a Happy Birthday Card using the Homemade & Heartfelt Kit. This Kit included a handy card holder plus a selection of sentiment stamps. After I had made up 1 of each of the 5 different cards I then made a double scrapbook layout and a selection of alternative cards using up what was left over from the kit. Here is just one of the alternative cards I made.

How I made my Happy Birthday Card

First I cut the remaining cards in half so that I had 2 mat layers. I then cut a landscape card base using Basic Beige card stock. Then I cut a mat layer using Secret Sea card stock. Using one of the card kit ‘mat layers’ I cut around the edges to remove the border and then cut the remaining piece in half.

I then cut a strip of Basic White card to go across the middle and stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment on it using Secret Sea ink. Next I stamped some stars using the Swirled Designs stamp set and Lost Lagoon ink.

Finally I stuck the cut mat layer onto the card front using Multi-Purpose glue and the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensions.

I really loved using the remaining pieces of this kit to make this Happy Birthday card. If you would like to see how I actually made it and another 2 further cards then here is my YouTube Live.
