Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: Festive Season.
I made these Gingerbread Man sweet treats for an inspiration table at another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator’s Team Meeting. When I saw the September to December Mini Catalogue I fell in love with the Gingerbread Man bundle so I was very keen to have a go at making different items using this bundle. Of course I made a card, a banner and a scrapbook layout before I made these two gingerbread man sweet treats.
Gingerbread Man Sweet Treats 1 – Smarties

First I die cut out 2 gingerbread men using Pecan Pie card stock and 1 using Crumb Cake card stock. Next I popped the die cuts back into the cut out area so that I could stamp the gingerbread man on each of the same front sides. I then stamped their faces and tummy’s onto the front gingerbread man. Then I folded them in half to make a double sided gingerbread man,
I then drew round a small plastic bauble (one half) using a pencil and cut it out just slightly inside of the pencil line so that the plastic bauble fitted tightly. I then added the sweets before folding the gingerbread men and sticking the insides together.
I then decorated them by die cutting out the hat and bow using Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green card stock. I then stuck them onto each gingerbread man sweet treats.
Gingerbread Man Sweet Treats 2 – Lolly Pops

Again I started out by die cutting and stamping the gingerbread men but this time I only stamped the one gingerbread man. I then stuck both gingerbread men together before cutting 2 slits through both layers using my Take Your Pick blade. I then decorated the gingerbread man sweet treats again using hats and bows before pushing a lolly pop through the slits. If you are really clever you can hide the fold with the top of the lolly pop.
I really enjoyed making these gingerbread man sweet treats and being able to show other demos another way to use this bundle. I have had to hid them as by older grandchildren really wanted to take them home with them.
