Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.
This Month’s Theme is: Punches.

I have decided to make a couple of cards using some of my punches. The punches I have chosen are the 1 7/8″ Circle Punch and the Sweet Jar Punch. Plus the Strawberry Slush Two-Tone card stock.
Circle Punch Card

First I made a Basic White card stock landscape card base. Next I cut a Basic Gray mat layer. Now for the fun part. I punched out circles from the Petunia Pop Two-Tone card stock using the 1 7/8″ Circle Punch. I then sanded one side using a nail file (although you could use sand paper). I then stuck the punched circles onto a Basic White mat layer, trimming the overhanging circles and using the scraps to fill in any gaps.
I stamped a simple ‘Just A Note’ sentiment from the Simple Said stamp set using Black Memento ink before sticking the Basic White mat layer onto the card front. I will add some embellishments once I know who I am sending the card to.
Sweet Jar Card

Again I cut a Basic White card stock landscape card base and another Basic Gray mat layer. I then cut a Basic White mat layer and embossed it using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
Then using the Sweet Jar punch I punched out two jars using the Petunia Pop Two-Tone card stock and one jar using Pool Party Two-Tone card stock. I stuck the two Petunia Pop jars on top of the embossed mat layer making sure that I had changed the jar lids to the opposite coloured jar.
I then stamped the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from the Sweet Jar stamp set using Black Memento ink on to the Pool Party jar before adding it to the card top using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.
Here is the link to see how I made them plus another card using the 1 7/8″ circle punch to make a square frame:
I loved making these cards using my punches. They were so quick to make although the sanding did take a little while to do. Why not have a go at making some cards using your punches and share them onto my Facebook page.
