Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop
The theme this month is: Travel

The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Sherry Roth.

When I saw this month’s theme I was really please as I could use it to make a 2 page Travel scrapbook layout for our cruise to Norway photographs.
How I made my 2 page Travel Scrapbook Layout – Basic Layout

I started off with 2 sheets of 12×12 White Willow card stock. I then cut the blue was paper from the Make A Memory Scrapbook Kit in half and stuck one piece at the bottom of each White Willow card stock to make the sea.
Next I used Balmy Blue ink and a small Blending Brush to blend a ‘sky’ on both of my Travel 2 page scrapbook layouts.
I then cut a 4″x12″ piece of Garden Green Two-Tone card stock and tore a strip along one of the long edges to make mountains. I repeated this so that I had enough for the 2nd layout. These I stuck above the ‘sea’ to make mountains. The smaller torn off pieces I stuck to the bottom of the ‘mountains’.
I then drew birds in the sky using a Black Journaling Pen.
How I made my 2 page Travel Scrapbook Layout – Mat Layers and Journaling

I then cut out 4 pieces of Basic Black card stock for my photo mat layers. I have not stuck them down yet as I am not too sure on what size I want my photographs. Using one of the lines cards that come in the Kit I cut it in half for my journaling. I was lucky that 2 of the pieces of Basic Black card stock that I had left over from cutting the photo mat layers fitted the journaling boxes with a small space at the side of them both. I will find some memento or another die cut out from another kit to add an embellishment.
How I made my 2 page Travel Scrapbook Layout – Embellishments

For page 1 of my 2 page Travel scrapbook layout I decided to use 2 of the banner flags from the Make A Memory Scrapbook Kit. I really wanted a few more so I drew around one of them onto one of the cards from the kit and then cut them out. I drew a line where I wanted the banners to go using the Black Journaling Pen before sticking the banners along it.

For page 2 of my 2 page Travel scrapbook layout I decided to use one of the longer thinner flags. As there was only one in the colour I wanted I cut one of the gray banners to fit. These I will add the place the photographs are for and the date we visited it. Finally I added the Camera from the Make A Memory Scrapbook Kit to the bottom right-hand corner.
I really loved making this 2 page travel scrapbook layout as it was so easy, plus I have loads left in the kit to make up the actual scrapbook layouts. If you would like to see how I put it all together then here is the link to my YouTube video.
