Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: Summer Sunshine.
When I say this month’s theme was Summer Sunshine I decided to make a simply stunning sunburst card. I have never made one before as I thought it was a complicated card to make. How wrong was I!! This is such an easy card to make.
How I made my Simply Stunning Sunburst Card

First I cut a sheet of A4 Basic White card stock in half to make a portrait card base. Next I cut a Mat Layer using Basic White card stock.
I then put a pencil dot onto the Basic White mat layer where I wanted the point of the Designer Series Papers to be.
Next I cut 4cm strips from 4 sheets of Thoughtful Journey 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper. I then cut each strip diagonally to make 2 long triangle.
Next I put multi-purpose glue all over the Basic White mat layer so that I could stick the triangles on. I stuck the first triangle on ensuring that the point was as near to the dot. I repeated this all the way around the mat layer until the Basic White card stock was covered.
Then I cut around the Basic White mat layer until I was left with just the mat layer and a pile of trimmings. (These I will use on another card).
How I finished off my Simply Stunning Sunburst Card

To cover the area where the triangle points meet I decided to use the circle punches although you could use any punch or dies to do this. I punched out a 2″ circle using Basic Black card stock and a 1 3/4″ circle using Basic White card stock. Next I stamped the sentiment ‘Thanks for being there’ onto the Basic White circle using Black Memento ink. I then stuck this to the card front covering the points.
I decided not to add any embellishments as I am not sure if this card will be for a male or a female.
I do hope that you have enjoyed seeing how I made my simply stunning sunburst card. I was really surprised in how easy it was to make.
