We Belong Together Scrapbook Layout.
Today I am showcasing my We Belong Together Scrapbook Layout. As my husband and I will be celebrating big birthdays this year plus our 10th Wedding Anniversary I wanted to make a series of scrapbook layouts this year so show off our special year.
Last year Stampin’ Up! brought out some Scrapbook Workshop Kits which include instructions to make three double scrapbook layouts and everything you need to make them. So I have decided that I will make an alternative scrapbook layout each month using some of the products in each kit. This month I have decided that as it will be Valentines Day soon I would use the Meant To Be Scrapbook Workshop Kit for my layout.
How I made my We Belong Together Scrapbook Layout.
First I took a sheet of 12″x12″ Basic White card stock as the base for my layout. I then looked at the sheets of Designer Series Papers and the die cut hearts and flowers elements and stickers before deciding to use the sheet of the die cut hearts and flowers elements.
Next I took a sheet of Old Olive Two Tone card stock and cut two 5cm strips and stuck them along both sides leaving a small gap between it and the actual edge of the Basic White card stock. As the strip of heart already included Old Olive I chose to use the lighter shade side.
I then took the hearts and flowers die cut sheet and cut two strips of hearts from it. I then pushed all of the hearts out before sticking the strip to the Old Olive Two Tone strip. Next I mixed up the heart colours before sticking each heart back into the heart cut out.
I then cut a 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Old Olive card stock for my photo mat and another piece approximately 5″ x 4″ for my journaling. Using the Meant To Bee stamp set I stamped the sentiment ‘we are meant to bee’ from the Meant To Bee stamp set onto the journaling mat layer using Black Memento ink.
Finally I added the ‘we belong together’ sticker to the top right hand side as my title and in the space by the photo mat I stuck one of the bee stickers.
I will be using this We Belong Together scrapbook layout either for a photo of us on our cruise or one from our wedding. I still have not decided yet. I will do my journaling using a Basic Black Write Marker so that it matches the stamped sentiment.
