Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is: Sketch & use Wet or Dry Embossing.
The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Sharon Dalton.
Here is the scrapbook layout sketch.
For my embossed Christmas scrapbook layout I decided to use Heat embossing. I also wanted to try something different so I chose to use glasses (for drinks) to stamp my circles before heat embossing them.
How I made my Embossed Christmas Scrapbook Layout
First I chose Real Red 12×12 card stock as my layout base. I decided that I would use the sketch but turn it around so that the top became the bottom. Next I took various glasses and a sponge dauber and used them to stamp Versamark circles onto the Real Red card stock. Next I sprinkled silver embossing powder on top of the Versamark circles before heat embossing them. I repeated this again but this time using white embossing powder.
I then drew dashes inside of each circle using Basic Black write marker and a white gel pen to add faux stitching.
Next using the Take a Bow designer Series Papers I punched out 2 circles, various sized strips ready to add to the embossed Christmas scrapbook layout. Then I cut 2 photo mat layers using Garden Green card stock.
I then arranged the punched circles, cut strips and the photo mats onto the layout and stuck them down.
How I finished off my Embossed Christmas Scrapbook Layout
For the date I stamped the ‘When, Where, What’ sentiment from the Reindeer Memories stamp set and using Black Memento ink onto Basic White card stock and stuck it onto the scrapbook layout.
Finally I added some Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints to the embossed Christmas scrapbook layout in place of the small circles on the sketch.
I do hope that you have enjoyed seeing my embossed Christmas scrapbook layout and how easy it was to make. Why not have a go at using this sketch to make your own embossed Christmas scrapbook layout.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
