Today I am going to show you how to make a quick and simple birthday card using stamps, punches and scraps of designer series paper.
I designed and made this quick and simple birthday card for one of my relatives for their birthday. I wanted to use the Sketched Butterfly stamp set as it was sitting on my shelf and not being used so I decided to use my June Scrapbook layout sketch for my card.

How I made my quick and simple birthday card.
First I cut a piece of 12″x12″ Basic White card stock in half and scored it at 6″ to make a 6″x6″ card base. Next I cut a mat layer using Blackberry Bliss card stock. I then chose my designer series paper. The one I chose is from the To Market designer series papers. It has some really lovely patterned papers which is useful if you are not keen on the vegetable papers.
I cut my designer series papers into squares and stuck three along the top and two along the bottom. If you look closely you can see that I have matched each one side by side.
Next I stamped the butterflies using Pumpkin Pie ink and punched out the circles using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. These I stuck onto the card front along the right hand side. I then stamped the sentiment again using Pumpkin Pie ink. This time I used the Labelled With Love Punch. To make the sentiment mat layer I punched the same shape this time using Pumpkin Pie card stock and cut it in half. I then stuck each half to the back of the sentiment so that it overlapped at each end. This is a very quick way to make your sentiment pop. As my designer series paper was very colourful I decided not to use embellishments this time.
