Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: No Images Just Words.
Today I am showing you how easy it is to make a celebration card using just words. This is a technique that I often forget to use when making cards and it is so simple.
How I made my Celebration Card using just words.
First I cut a Basic White portrait card base using half a sheet of A4 card stock. Next I cut a mat layer using Basic Gray card stock and stuck it to the front of the card base.
How to make the front of the Celebration Card using just words.
First I cut a piece of Basic Black card stock to make a mat layer. Next I chose the Celebration stamp from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set. I then used the Embossing Buddy from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to rub al over my piece of card stock. This reduced the static which means that the embossing powder should only stick to the stamped words.
Next I inked up the Congratulations stamp with VersaMark clear ink and stamped in onto the Basic Black mat layer. I then sprinkled the silver embossing powder over the top of all of the stamped words before heat embossing them. One useful tip is to make sure that you heat your heat gun up before putting it over the embossing powder.
Once the powder turned from a dull silver to a shiny silver I then ran the Embossing Buddy over the Basic Black mat layer. I then reinked the Congratulations stamp with VersaMark clear ink. This time I used the bronze embossing powder to cover the stamped words before heat embossing them.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I have used a heat embossed sentiment for my celebration card using just words. If you would like to see how I actually did the heat embossing then here is the YouTube video.
