Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is: Celebrating Hobbies.
The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Lisa Stucker.
This month’s scrapbook layout is a double page scrapbook layout. One of my favourite hobbies is gardening though due to reduced mobility it is a bit harder to do. A couple of years ago my husband and I decided to have the hedging around our house removed as it was very old and to have a gravel flower bed in its place.
How I made my Double Page Scrapbook Layout.
First I chose 2 sheets of Parakeet Party 12 x 12 card stock. Next I took 2 sheets of the Pebble Path DSP from the Fresh as a Daisy DSP and cut 4 strips to fit on each page. Next I drew a pencil line just below where the bottom sheet was going to go so that I had a line to stamp along.
How I stamped the leaves onto my double page scrapbook layout.
First of all I stamped the whole leaf images along the pencil line using Parakeet Party ink and Granny Apple Green ink. Next I stamped the more detailed side of the leaf stamp on top of the already stamped image using Garden Green ink and and Old Olive ink. Then I stuck down the strips of Pebble Path DSP leaving a larger gap at the top for the heading.
I then added a Parakeet Party mat layer to each of my photographs and an extra mat layer for my journaling. These I then stuck to the Pebble Path DSP.
How I made my Title for my double page scrapbook layout.
For the heading I die cut out letters using the Mini Alphabet Dies and Basic Black card stock. I then stuck them onto the top of my double page scrapbook layout. Next I stamped the plants along the top using Granny Apple Green ink and Garden Green ink.
I am so pleased in how my double page scrapbook layout turned out and the Parakeet Party just pops my photos. Why not have a go at making a similar scrapbook layout and share it onto my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
