Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.

This Month’s Theme is Personalisation.

When I saw the theme this month I was totally stuck as to what to make so following a Blends Colouring Course run by the amazing Heather Thomas I produced a birthday card using a coloured in image for a female who is very close to me.

As I attended the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event a couple of weeks ago in Vienna I received the Beautifully Happy stamp set which will be available as part of the Sale-a-bration offer between January and February 2023 when you place and order for £90.00.

How I made my the front of my birthday card using a coloured in image.

I started by cutting a card base using Calypso Coral card stock. I then die cut a Basic White mat layer using the large die from the Scalloped Contours dies. Next I stamped the small dots from the Beautifully Happy stamp set around the edge before sticking it onto the card base. I then die cut the middle Scalloped Contours die using Basic White card stock and again using Calypso Coral card stock. I then used one of the rectangles from the Stitched Rectangle dies to make a frame. Next I stuck the Calypso Coral frame onto the die cut Basic White mat layer. I then added the coloured image ensuring that the bottom the the stem went behind the frame and the leave and flowers came over the frame. I then stuck this onto the card base.

How I coloured in the stamped image using Blends.

I started by stamping the large image from the Beautifully Happy stamp set onto Basic White card stock using black memento ink. Next I coloured in the flowers using the following Blends: Poppy Parade light and dark, Pale Papaya light and dark. I then coloured in the leaves using the following Blends: Bronze, Old Olive light and dark, Pale Papaya light and dark. I added the Bronze Blend to the middle of the large flower. Then I cut out the coloured image.

How I made the inside of my birthday card using a coloured in image.

I die cut another Basic White mat layer using the large die from the Scalloped Contours dies. Next masked off the bottom right hand side and stamped the small flower image from the Beautifully Happy stamp set. I then coloured in this image using the same colours as the image on the front of the card. Next I stamped the sentiment before sticking down onto the inside of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made my birthday card using a coloured in image. I am so please in how it turned out and will be trying different colour variations using this stamp set. If you decide to get this stamp set at part of the January to February Sale-a-baration offer please do post a photo of your projects onto my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
