Welcome to the first Colour Combo Blog Hop of 2022

The colour combo for this month is Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso and Evening Evergreen

For this month’s Colour Combo blog hop I decided to make a quick and simple Thank You Card. I wanted to use the new Amazing Silhouettes stamp set in the January to July 2022 mini catalogue as it had a butterfly silhouette which fits in with my business logo.

First I started by cutting a Basic White Thick card stock in half along the long side and scoring at 10.5cm for the card base.

I then cut a 10cm x 14.3cm piece of Evening Evergreen card stock to make a mat layer. Next I cut a 9.5cm x 13.8cm piece of Basic White card stock for the card front.

To make the card front

I started by stamping the butterfly image onto the top left hand side of the card front using Evening Evergreen Ink. Next I stamped the same image using Cinnamon Cider ink but in the middle on the right hand side. Finally I stamped the image again using Early Espresso ink on the bottom left hand side. I do love how these disinktive stamps give you a feinter image.

I then stuck the Evening Evergreen may layer onto the Basic White card base and then I stuck the stamped card front onto the mat layer.

To finish off the card with a sentiment

Then using the Many Messages stamp set I stamped the whole image using Black Tuxedo ink and die cut the sentiments out using the Messages die. I chose to use the Thank You Ever So Much sentiment and put the others into one of our blank stamp cases for future use.

I stuck the sentiment onto a scrap of Evening Evergreen card stock. Next I added a loop of Linen Thread to the back of the mounted sentiment before adding to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished off the card by adding three Silver Metallic Gems to the top right hand side of the card front.
