Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop
The theme this month is Sale-a-bration
My project today is four any occasion cards using colouring as the main technique. I chose the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper as it is available as a FREE product until the end of September 2021 with any order over £45. If like me you find colouring relaxing this is an ideal pack of DSP to get as you get 12 sheets of 12″x12″ papers. This means you can make so many cards from just a few sheets. Plus it matches the Hand Penned Suite in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.
I started off by cutting four 10cm x 20cm pieces of Basic White Thick card stock. I then scored the pieces at 10cm to make four 10cm x 10cm card bases.
Next I cut four 9.5cm x 9.5cm mat layers using Night of Navy card stock and put them to one side. Then I cut one of the sheets of DSP into four 9cm x 9cm squares.
Card 1 – Any Occasion Card using Colouring
I decided to colour in the first card using Pumpkin Pie Blends as this is a colour I tend not to use very often. I coloured in the whole flower using the Light Blend and outlined each petal using the Dark Blend. Then I used the Soft Succulent Blends to colour in the flower stems.
Card 2 – Any Occasion Card using Colouring
I decided to use the Flirty Flamingo Blends for the second card as this is another colour I tend not to use.
Card 3 – Any Occasion Card using Colouring
For the third card I decided to use the Daffodil Delight Blends to make a bright and summery card.
Card 4 – Any Occasion Card using Colouring
For the fourth card I decided to use the Highland Heather Blends which is one of my favourite colours to colour in this card.
To finish off the Any Occasion Cards
I then cut and coloured in some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. First I used the Light Blend to colour in half of the ribbon and then I used the Dark Blend to colour in the other half. This gave me a two tone ribbon in each colour for each card.
Finally I stuck the DSP onto the Night of Navy mat layer. Next I added the ribbon before sticking the mat layer onto the card base.
Now I have some ready made cards that I can add any sentiment to when I need to.
I hope you have liked my four any occasion cards using colouring that I have made for this blog hop. I will probably make some more of these cards using other colours. Of course I can use other media such as water colouring pencils and a blender pen for colouring.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,

Theses cards are beautiful! Nice way to use the DSP
Brilliant way to use those papers! Which reminds me, I’ve yet to break them out of the packet. Love your bespoke ribbons to coordinate with each card. TFS.
Such a pretty combination of cards Cheryl – I particularly like how you have created your own ombre ribbon with the blends.
Love, Love, Love all of them. Great job. You have inspired me to get my blends out!!!
