Welcome to this month’s Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop
The theme this month is Colouring
For this month’s blog hop I thought I would make a set of birthday cards using the Beautiful Penned Designer Series Paper and colouring it in. I usually stamp an image and colour it in so time to try something different. I find colouring in so relaxing and this is an ideal way to mass produce Birthday cards.
How to make the Birthday Cards using Colouring
I started by cutting two 10.5cm x 14.8cm Basic White This card stock to make the card bases. I then cut the DSP into 9.5cm x 13.8cm mat layers.
Next I coloured in each mat layer using various blends. For the first Birthday Card I used the Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent blends. For the second Birthday Card I used Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Balmy Blue blends.
Once I had coloured in both mat layers in I stuck them onto a 14.3cm x 10cm Evening Evergreen card stock mat layer before sticking onto a card base.
To finish off the cards I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Turtle Friends stamp set. I then stuck the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my two Birthday Cards and why not have a go yourself. I’m off now to see what they look like using other blends and even Water Color Pencils to colour them in.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting.
