Colour Combo August Image

Welcome to this month’s Colour Combo Blog Hop

This month’s three colours are Gray Granite, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape

For my blog hop today I though I would do something totally different for my Colour Combo cards. So I decided to use the card stock as my main feature of these three cards.

Finished 3 Colour Combo cards

I started off by cutting three card bases using Basic White Thick card stock and put them to one side. Next I cut three Gray Granite mat layers. These will be my background for each card.

Colour Combo Card 1 – all stripes

For this card I cut 1cm strips of Gorgeous Grape card stock and 1.5cm strips of Bermuda Bay card stock. I embossed the Bermuda Bay card stock using the Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder.

Next I stuck the strips onto the Gray Granite mat layer leaving a small gap between each strip before sticking onto the Basic White card base.

To finish off this card I cut a strip of Gray Granite slightly bigger than the sentiment and added one of the Gorgeous Grape strips before adding one of my pre stamped sentiments using the Many Messages stamp and Message dies. I cut off the corners of the Gray Granite label and added to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added two Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment.

Colour Combo Card 2 – Textured Rectangles

For this card I cut two 4.5cm x 6.5cm rectangles from Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay card stock. I then embossed the Gorgeous Grape rectangles using the Bark 3D embossing folder and the Bermuda Bay rectangles using the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder. Then I stuck the rectangles onto the Gray Granite mat layer before sticking onto the Basic White card base.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from the Many Messages stamp using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Colour Combo Card 3 – Plain Rectangles and Squares

Finished card using plain rectangles and squares

For my third card I decided to keep it very basic. I cut a rectangle of Gorgeous Grape card stock and a rectangle of Bermuda Bay card stock and stuck them onto the Gray Granite mat layer. Next I cut a square of Gray Granite and stuck it onto the card.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from the Many Messages stamp using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I love how these three Colour Combo cards have turned out and enjoyed making them on a wet and miserable afternoon in August..

Thank you for visiting my website today. I hope you have liked my version of the August 2021 Colour Combo.
