Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop Title

Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is Birthdays.

As it is my brother-in-law’s 50th birthday this month and he is such a jokey type of person I had to make him an extra special 50th Birthday card to mark this special birthday. Plus he is the baby of the family so joked when we all turned 50.

How I made my 50th Birthday Card

First I cut a 12×12 piece of Basic White card stock in half to make a 6″x6″ card base. Next I cut a 6 1/4″ square using Basic Gray card stock and stuck it onto the card base. I then cut a 6 1/2″ square using Basic White which I then cut in half diagonally. I then stuck these pieces onto the Basic Gray mat layer.

Next I die cut a border using Poppy Parade card stock and the circles from the Stylish Shape dies. I then die cut the numbers 4, 5, 0 & 0 using Basic Black card stock and the Alphabet A La Dies and remembered to add a piece of adhesive sheet to the back so I could stick them down easily. Next I cut a small strip of Poppy Parade to add to the 40 road sign.

I then laid one of the circles onto the top half of the card front and stuck the 40 in the middle of it. Next I stuck the strip of Poppy Parade onto the back of one of the circles and stuck it on top of the 40. I then stuck the other circle onto the bottom of the card base and stuck the number 50 in the middle of it.

How I made the inside of the 50th Birthday Card

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock to fit in the inside of the card. Next I stamped two pint glasses from the Brewed For You using Basic Gray ink. I then stamped the middle of each glass using Crushed Curry ink but I stamped it off first to make a lighter colour. Next I die cut the pint glasses and some froth and stuck them onto the inside of the card. I then die cut another 5 & 0 using Poppy Parade card stock and stuck it onto the middle of the inside. As you can see I forgot to take the photographs before I wrote inside it.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my cheeky 50th Birthday Card. I am sure my brother-in-law will have a chuckle when he sees it.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
