Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.
This Month’s Theme is: Outdoors.
I decided that as I only had flower stamps that I would make 3 Darling Dinos children’s cards as they do live outside. I also wanted to show some different ways to colour in the Darling Dinos.
Darling Dinos Children’s Cards – Water Coloured Dinos

After colouring in the dino using water colouring pencils and a blender pen I then die cut it out. I then cut a landscape card base using Basic White card stock, I then cut out a mat layer using Misty Moonlight card stock before finally cutting a Basic White mat layer for my stamping.
I decided that I would place my Darling Dino in the middle of the Basic White mat layer so I stamped the rocks along the bottom right-hand side of the Basic White mat layer. I then stamped the grass along the bottom using Garden Green ink as my ink pad was a bit dry in places I managed to get a grass that was different shades of Garden Green ink. This made the grass more life like.
Next I stamped the flowers along the bottom left-hand side before colouring them in using the Brights Stampin’ Write Markers. I then coloured in the rocks using the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker from the Neutrals Stampin’ Write Markers.
I then stamped the words ‘You’re T-RRRIFIC! along a strip of Basic White card stock and mat layered it using a strip of Misty Moonlight card stock. I then stuck the sentiment layer along the top of the card leaving a small gap.

Darling Dinos Children’s Cards – Ink Pad and Water Painter Dinos

For this Darling Dino children’s card I coloured in the Darling Dinos using ink pads and a water painter. Again I cut a Basic White landscape card base but for my back ground I wanted to show off the amazing Two-Tone card stock we now have. One of my favourite techniques is to tear the Two-Tone card stock so that you can see the white core and then add the other side on top. I did this for the grass at the bottom of the card but i only put glue along the ends and the bottom of the dark Garden Green strip so that I could slot the ‘baby Dino’. I stamped the egg using Basic Beige ink and added some speckles. The sky I made using a strip of Pool Party Two-Tone card stock. I stamped the sentiment using Black Memento ink before adding the other 2 Darling Dinos. I stuck the card front onto a Basic Gray mat layer before adding it top the card base.
Darling Dinos Children’s Cards -Water Coloured and Blender Pen Dinos

For my final card I coloured in the Darling Dinos using Water Colouring Pencils and a Blender Pen before die cutting them out. I chose to blend the background using ink and Blending Brushes. The colours I used were Pool Party, Pecan Pie and Garden Green. I then stamped the spots along the bottom using Pecan Pie ink. The sentiment I did by accident as when I stuck the stamp to the stamping block it was bent which gave me the idea to make a curved sentiment. I then added the 3 darling Dinos to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I stuck the card front onto a Basic Gray mat layer before adding to the landscape card base.
