Welcome to The Joy of Sets September Blog Hop
The theme for this month is Weddings.
This is my first time blog hopping with The Joy of Sets.
Last weekend my step daughter got married. It was a smaller event than originally planned due to COVID 19 restrictions but that did not mean that I could not produce a WOW Wedding card for her.
I found this idea for a Double Accordion card in the Mixed Up Craft Facebook group which is hosted by Sam Calcott. It took me 2 hours to make this card including stamping my own background paper.
I started by cutting and scoring the card base using Coastal Cabana card stock.
Then by using the Forever Fern and Floral Essence stamp sets I stamped my own background paper using, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Soft Suede ink pads. This meant that I could use the same colours as the card stock.
For the inside of the card I cut the back ground paper and Whisper White card stock to size before mounting the background paper onto the Whisper White mat layer. These were then stuck onto the card base.
Once this was done I then cut and mounted the back ground paper and card stock onto the front of the card.
For the middle of the card I used the Floral Essence and Last a Lifetime stamp sets. Stamping an image in opposite corners.
Finally I made a belly band using the Last a Lifetime stamp set and The Stitched Nested Labels dies.
I hope my project has given you some ideas to try especially stamping your own paper using any stamp sets you have.
