Welcome to the Friends of SUBA Blog Hop

SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels, and is run by Pip Todman and Louise Sims.

Back in August 2017 I attended a SUBA Training Course to help move my business into the Social Media arena.  Pip and Louise have welcomed me with open arms and are constantly helping others like me to understand the systems that they use and built confidence to use them more so.

There was another training course in February 2018, the group of  Stampin’ Up! Demo’s who attended, decided to join up to create a blog hop so that what they had learnt could be put into practice. I was lucky to join this group and be able to show you what I have made for this month’s blog hop.

This month’s theme is Summer Holidays.

Thank you for joining me from Carrie’s blog or if you have just joined the blog with me.  For this month’s blog hop I already had a couple of scrapbook pages already started that fitted in to the theme of Summer Holidays.

I had a shell template which I used to cut 2 shells out of sand paper and stuck onto the corner of each page.  I then found some seaside photos of my daughter and of the Beach Huts at Wells-next-the-sea.  This photo reminded me straight away of the Waterfront stamp set we have.

As the 12×12 pages were Basic Black it meant I could use bolder colours as photo mats.  The first photo mat I used is Pacific Point.  Then to keep to the sand theme I mounted the photo mats onto Sahara Sand card stock.

I then used the Waterfront stamp set to ‘copy’ the trees, dunes and beach from the Beach hut photo. This was also mounted onto Pacific Point and Sahara Sand card stock.  I stamped the beach huts also from Waterfront to make small embelishments.

As I wanted a bold title so I used our Large Letter dies to cut out By The Seaside in both coloured card stock.  I love how using two colours makes the letters pop.

To finish off the pages I added waves using the die from Swirly Scribbles thinlits and Soft Sea Foam card stock.

I hope you have been inspired by my scrapbook pages and the products I have used.

Please do leave comments on each blog as you hop from person to person.
