Welcome to a New Year and a New Decade.

This month’s theme is CASE A Card.

CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything.

For my project this month I am casing a couple of cards that were designed by Mary Knabe using the Painted Poppies stamp set and matching Designer Series Paper. I chose these two cards as I loved how simple the stamping was but still being able to make a lovely card.

How to CASE a Card #1

I started by sticking the Basic Black mat layer onto the Whisper White portrait card base. Next I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the single poppy from the Painted Poppies stamp set onto it.

Once this was done I stamped the larger of the two back ground stamps using Old Olive ink pad. Then I coloured in the poppy using Old Olive light and dark blends and Real Red dark blend.

Next I did my favourite technique where you colour in the ribbon to match your colours. Again I ran the Old Olive dark blend over the ribbon and made a bow.

Finally I stuck the stamped mat layer onto the Basic Black mat layer.

How to CASE a card #2

My second card is done in exactly the same way but this time I have added another mat layer by using the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

I hope that you have enjoyed the cards I cased for this Blog Hop. I just love how the stamped layer of each card is the same but by adding a Designer Series Paper mat layer it looks totally different. Why not have a go yourself and try different designer series paper mat layers.

Remember that when you get stuck for ideas then you can always CASE from someone else.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
