Welcome this this month’s Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop.

The theme for this month is Girls/Boys.

When I think of younger girls and boys cards I always think of Peter Rabbit or Bunnykins which are popular in the UK.

Peter Rabbit was introduced by Beatrix Potter and Bunnykins by Royal Doulton pottery.

Luckily we have a wonderful stamp set that fits both of these and that is the Fable Friends stamp set.

I was shown this card last year by Michelle Bryant, another demo, who did this as her card swap at one of our team swaps.

I started by using Crumb Cake card stock to make two card bases.

Then I cut out two Whisper White mat layers which I then embossed using the Tufted embossing folder to give them a quilt effect.

I then cut two pieces of Whisper White card stock to stamp the bunny and Hello Baby sentiment on before colouring in using Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo and Night of Navy water colouring pencils and blender pen. I stamped the grass using Pear Pizzazz and did first, second and third generation stamping to get different shades.

Next I cut out a Balmy Blue and Blushing Bride frame using the Stitched Rectangle dies. These I stuck to the stamped card stock before attaching to the embossed layer using Stampin Dimensionals.

Finally I stick the embossed mat layer to the card base.

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing my two cards and see how simple they are to make.

Please do leave comments as you hop around.
