Welcome to this month’s Stamp N Hop blog hop.
This month the theme is Easter.
When deciding what card and Stampin’ Up! products to use for Easter, I decided to use the little ducklings from the Fable Friends stamp set. Every year we have lots of ducks hatching baby ducklings and when I look out of the window I can see them all running in a straight line after their mum. It has been know to have a family of ducks at my front door.
During the month of March I am trying to do some different types of cards and for this blog hop I have chosen to do a Z folding card.
I cut an A4 sheet of Whisper White card stock in half along the short side and scored that piece of card in half (at 14.85cm). Next I scored the front half in half again to make the Z fold base card.
Easter always reminds me of yellow daffodils and primroses so on course I have to use Daffodil Delight card for the base layers of the card topped with the Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala Papers.
Once I had stuck these down I stamped the ducklings using memento ink onto another piece of Whisper White card stock and using the Oval stitched framelits cut the stamped image into an oval.
I used a mixture of blends, markers and watercolour pencils to colour in the ducklings. This oval was then mounted onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I stamped the ‘Easter Greetings’ sentiment onto the card.
I hope you like my card. I love how bright it is even on a rainy evening like tonight.
Before you hop on over to Vicky in Australia, please do add comments as you hop around.
Happy stamping
Cheryl
