Today I am taking part in a Stamp ‘N Hop with other Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators of all skill levels. In this month’s blog hop we are showing our favourite stamp set which is on the current retiring list. The stamp set I have chosen is one of the first sets I bought as a Stampin’ Up! customer. It is Flower Shop and is a wonderful set of 5 different stamps that can be punched out using the Pansy Punch which is also retiring this year.
I have already used this stamp set in another blog hop this week but wanted to show you how versatile this stamp set and other Stampin’ Up stamp sets can be by using stamps to create your very own paper.
I started off with a 13 x 13 cm square of Whisper White cardstock and stamped over it with Sweet Sugarplum ink the flower. Then using Wild Wasabi ink I stamped the small flowers from the Number of Years stamp set. This paper was then cut into the following sizes using the Trimmer to cut the squares from the inside of the card stock.
The next step is to cut 13cm, 10cm and 7cm squares from Sweet Sugarplum card stock and mount the printed card stock onto them. These were then stuck to a Basic Black 14cm square card base.
To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set using Archival Basic Black ink and mounted this onto a punched out flower using the Pansy Punch and Sweet Sugarplum card stock.
I have tried today to show you that we have some amazing products retiring soon. There are of course some equally amazing products replacing those that are retiring and I hope to be able to share these with you very shortly.
I hope you have enjoyed the card and how to make your own paper that I have shared with you today. We do appreciate reading your comments on our posts.
