Welcome. As you can see the theme for this month is a Colour Combination using the above colours.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing what the lovely Pia has come up with using these lovely bright colours.
August is a busy month for me with family birthdays and wedding anniversaries so what better than making cards that fit in with a blog hop.
Birthday card – colouring

For my Sister’s birthday card I chose Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and Perennial Birthday stamp set, which is one of my favourite set for sentiments. I started by stamping the magnolia flower and leaves in Memento Ink. I then coloured in the flower using a Aqua Painter and Lovely Lipstick ink which I stamped onto a block so I would not ruin the ink pad.
For the leaves I decided to use the new Stampin’ Blends as I like how it the leaves look real using both the light and dark blends.
Next I cut mat layers and stuck these onto a Whisper White card base. To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment from Perennial Birthday and a sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia in Lovely Lipstick.
Birthday Card – using embossing folders

For this my sister-in-laws birthday card I decided to use card stock and 3 different embossing folders. First I punched out the card stock using the Tailored Tag punch. Next I laid the punched shapes on to the embossing folder at different angles so each one would be different. The 3 embossing folders I chose are Country Floral, Layered Leaves # 152321 and Tufted #151785.
Next I stuck the punched shaped onto a Whisper White mat layer, which I then suck onto a Whisper White card base. To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment from Painted Glass and mounted it onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you have liked my cards and have been inspired to try these your self.
Please do leave comments as you hop around looking at everyone’s lovely projects.
