Welcome to this month’s Stampin Friends Blog Hop
This month’s theme is Father’s Day
In the UK Father’s Day is on Sunday 16th June. It is a day where we celebrate father’s and paternal bonds. I am very lucky to be able to celebrate Father’s day with my dad.
For my card and project I decided to use the theme of shirts. I looked on various websites and found lots of post with Shirt cards and Origami shirts. Here is what I can up with.
I decided to use a sheet of 12×12 Tranquil Textures DSP. I cut the sheet at 8″ x 11″ and following a YouTube video (there are lots to choose) I was able to quickly make the Origami Shirt. I will be using this to either put in some vouchers, cash or gift cards.
Using one of the scraps of DSP and a Night of Navy card base I was able to also make a card.
Finally to finish off both the card and origami shirt I punched out circles using the 1/2″ punch. These I then mounted onto Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Wink of Stella to make buttons.
I hope you have enjoyed my Father’s Day projects. They were really quick and easy to do especially if like me you work full time. Please do leave messages as you hop around.
How creative! And what a great way to use up some DSP!
