Scrapbooking Global August Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.

Scrap booking Global Blog Hop

The theme this month is Memories & More.

I love using Memories and More Card Packs as they are so versatile and easy to use whether you are a beginner to scrapbooking or have been scrapbooking for years.

I can produce quick scrapbook pages by slotting them into the Memories and More pages with photos and also I can use them on a 12×12 scrapbook page plus of course make cards using the new memories and more cards and envelopes.  The hardest part is choosing which set to use.

For this blog hop I decided to use the Delightfully Detailed set as they fit in nicely with the rest of the Delightfully Detailed suite.

Scrapbook page 1

For this page I used the memories and more set with a memories and more page from the variety pack.  As you can see there is loads of space to write notes, memories and add in embellishments.  These photos are from my first holiday with my hubby to Cornwell and Devon.

Scrapbook page 2

For this page I used a Whisper White 12×12 card stock.  As you can see I have used the triple punch to add accents to the photo page and black satin ribbon under the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon.

I love this page as we were saving our 5, 10 and 20 pence coins and managed to save over £180.00 which we spent in Jamie Oliver’s restaurant called Fifteen on a 7 course meal each.  The views from the restaurant were lovely especially at sun set.

I hope you have enjoyed my scrapbook pages and seen how versatile the Memories and More card packs are.

Kre8tors August 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to another Kre8tors Blog Hop
 This month’s theme is water

When I saw this month’s theme I knew straight away which photos I would use.

Bear in The Air

I was privileged to be able to meet our Chief Scout Bear Grylls in 2013.  During this year Bear was challenged to visit as many Scout Events as he could.  As Bear was going to travel to each event by helicopter it was named Bear in the Air.

On a cold wet Sunday in October Bear was due to land in a field and attend our District Scout Event.  Unfortunately he was unable to use the helicopter as the clouds were so low, so he arrived in a land rover.

The photos I chose were of Bear presenting me with my certificate for training to be a District Commissioner (Woodbadge) and of me presenting his son Marmaduke with a pirographed tent peg.  It was so funny that I was standing in the rain as he was covered by an umbrella.  So much for wild survival skills. 🙂

Bear in the Air

I chose to use the Tranquil Textures DSP as it reminded me of water.  I stamped the dots from Playful Backgrounds as it reminded me of the rain splashing on the ground.  The Soft Sea Foam card peeking out from the photo is to do some journalling.

I am planning to do another similar page with the newspaper cuttings – but first I need to find them in my craft room.

I hope you have enjoyed my scrapbook and the story behind it.  Please do leave comments on all the blogs.

Stamp N Hop – Masculine

Stampin n crafting Logo

Welcome to another Stamp & Hop Blog Hop

Stamp 'n Hop Logo

The theme for August is MasculinE

Hello you may have hopped over to me from Susan and seen the lovely project she has done or you have just joined the Blog Hop with me.

I fell in love with the Elephant bundle and could not wait to make a baby card with it.  As the theme this month is Masculine I decided to first make a male baby card.

Card 1

Card 1 Aug 2018

For this card I started off by inking up the Tufted embossing folder with Balmy Blue ink.  A piece of Whisper White card stock was then laid onto the ink and embossed.

A piece of Balmy Blue card stack was stuck on to make a back ground for the elephants and sentiments.  I then stamped the elephants in Balmy Blue ink and punched them out.

To finish off the card I stamped the hearts and die cut using the heart die from Up & Away Thinlits and stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White banner from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

Cards 2 & 3

Card 2 Aug 2018Card 3 Aug 2018

For these cards I decided to use set colours which were Merry Merlot, Blackberry Bliss and Pool Party.

I wanted to use the Lift Me Up stamp set and matching dies as I had not used these in a while.

If you have visited me before you will know that I love making my own back ground paper so stamped the clouds in Pool Party all over a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut to size.  I stamped some medium sized balloons and die cut them out.  These were then glued onto the card base.

I then die cut the large balloon and matching back ground dies in Pool Party and Whisper White card stock.  These were then glued to the back of the die cut balloon.  I wanted them to be slightly raised so Stampin Dimensionals were used.  The sentiment was stamped onto a Whisper White cloud in Blackberry Bliss and backed to a Pool Party cloud.

To finish off the cards I used the Clear Rhinestones.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the cards I made for this blog hop.  Please do leave comments as you hop around this blog hop.

Ink & Share Blog Hop – Anything Goes

Stampin n crafting Logo

Welcome to another blog hop.  This time I am taking part in the FIRST Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.

INK 7 Share BH logo

I live in a lovely village in near Ely in the UK.  You may have just joined me on this blog hop or just hopped over from Sue and seen her scrapbook page.

For this first blog hop the theme is Anything Current.  Whilst I was looking through some old photos trying to find some that I could scrapbook as one off pages.  I found some photos of my lovely daughter which were taken by a professional photographer for one of my birthdays.

The photo has a black and red border around it and I wanted to use a bright colour for my page so I chose Real Red 12×12 card stock.  I have been trying to find another excuse to use the Petal Palette stamp set as it is a lovely set.  Also I wanted to use more embellishments as most of my scrapbook pages are full of photos rather than just the one photo.

I decided to use the White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and the Black Satin ribbon.  By trying different layouts I decided to layer the ribbons, with the polka dot tulle on top of the black.  Don’t you just love how this turned out?

I die cut out the leaves using the Petals & More Thinlits and Whisper White card stock and Blueberry Bushel card stock.  These were glued onto the left hand corners using fine tip glue.

Then I stamped the flower stamps in Black Memento.  These flowers were then coloured in using the Real Red watercolour pencil and a blender pen.  The leaves were coloured in using the Basic Black watercolour pencil.  Finally I used Wink of Stella brushed over the roses to make them sparkle.

To finish the page off I used the Amazing and You dies from the Celebrate You thinlits which were die cut again using Whisper White and Blueberry Bushel card stock and stuck one over the other.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my scrapbook page and that it has given you some ideas.  Please do leave comments as you hop around this blog hop.

August Roll Call

SUBA July 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Friends of SUBA Blog Hop.What does SUBA stand for?

SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels, and is run by Pip Todman and Louise Sims.

Back in August 2017 I attended a SUBA Training Course to help move my business into the Social Media arena.  Pip and Louise have welcomed me with open arms and are constantly helping others like me to understand the systems that they use and built confidence to use them more so.

There was another training course in February 2018, the group of  Stampin’ Up! Demo’s who attended, decided to join up to create a blog hop so that what they had learnt could be put into practice. I was lucky to join this group and be able to show you what I have made for this month’s blog hop.

This month’s Blog Hop is a Colour Combo Challenge using three of our NEW Stampin’ Up! colours; Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green.

When I first saw these colours they reminded me of trees and leaves so I just had to use the Rooted In Nature stamp set for this project.

I had a wooden square from Hobbycraft which I thought would look nice with leaves on it.

I stamped the branch of leaves onto the wooden square in Shade Spruce Ink.  Then I stamped the large and smaller leaves in Granny Apple Green Ink and Soft Sea Foam Ink to make a background.

To give it some texture I die cut the large and small leaf dies in Shaded Spruce, Softy Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green card stock.  These were then embossed using the emboss dies.

I stamped a sentiment with Shaded Spruce onto a Soft Sea Foam circle and stuck it in the middle of the square.  I wanted the leaves to look as it they had fallen onto the square so I dropped them onto the square, and stuck them where they landed.

To finish it off I brushed Wink of Stella over each leaf to make it shimmer in the light.  I also added 3 gems to the sentiment circle.

I hope you have loved looking at my project.  Please do leave comments before you click on the next button to see what Caro has made.

Scrapbooking Global July 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to July’s Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.

Scrap booking Global Blog Hop

This month’s theme is the following Scrapbook Sketch.

Scrapbook Sketch

First I decided to start with a photo and work the rest of the page around that.  I chose a photo of two of my cats when they were kittens.

Cat photo

Then I decided to use Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock to make two of the square mat layers and Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock to make the other two square mat layers.

Next I stuck the photo onto one of the Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla squares.  Once I had stamped two cats from the Pretty Kitty stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock.  I then stuck this onto one of the Crumb Cake and Soft Suede squares.

Pretty Kitty Stamp Set

For the title I decided to try the NEW Lined Alphabet stamp set.  The letters were stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock using Soft Suede ink and mat layered onto Soft Suede card stock.

As I thought the Very Vanilla page looked a little bland I used two strips cut from the Share What You Love DSP.

This then left me with two more mat layered squares to finish off.  I used one to journal on and I decided to punch two black cat shadows using the Cat Punch.

Punched Black Cats

To finish off the page I stamped Meow using the NEW Make a Difference stamp set.

Finished page

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my version of the scrapbook sketch.  Please do leave comments before you clink on the next button to take you to Kimberley in the USA.

Home Decor SU Style July Blog Hop

Home Decor SU Style July Logo

Welcome to Stampin ‘n’ Crafting with cheryldiana.

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop.  I hope you have enjoyed visiting the various Blog Hops and seen some lovely Home Decor projects.  I live in a village near Newmarket, England and living in the country you get to see so many flowers.

My project is a sampler in an Ikea Ribba frame.  When I looked through the new catalogue I fell in love with the In Every Season stamp set and could picture various was of using this stamp set.

Finished Frame

First I die cut 3cm squares using the square Stitched Framelits.  Then using Basic Gray ink I stamped the various flowers onto the squares.

These were then coloured in using the watercolour pencils.  I was so lucky as a demo to be able to order Set 2 of the watercolour pencils that are coming out in August.  This gave me much more choices of colour to use.

Stamped Flowers

Then using a blender pen I carefully blended the colours together.

The sentiment from Layering Love stamp set was stamped in Smokey Slate and die cut out using a circle from Stitched Framelits.

Polka Dot Tulle Bow

For the backing I cut Smokey Slate card stock into an 8″ x 8″ square.  Using the dotty stamp from Waterfront stamp set and using Smokey Slate ink I stamped all over to make my own back ground paper.

The flowers were then stuck onto the Smokey Slate background.  The circle was stuck in the middle of the frame using dimensionals.  A bow was made using the polka dot tulle ribbon and was stuck to the circle using a glue dot.

Finished Page

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project, please do leave comments as you hop through all the Blogs in this Hop.

The next person to hop to is Mette to see her lovely Home Decor Project this month.

Stamp ‘N Hop July Blog Hop

Stamp 'n Hop Logo

Welcome to July’s Stamp ‘n’ Hop.

This month our theme is Favourite Designer Speciality Paper.  This fits in well with this month’s special offer from Stampin’ Up! which is buy 3 packs from the list and get another pack free.  I decided to order 4 different packs so I had plenty of choice to choose from.

I chose Garden Impressions as my favourite DSP.  These papers are very colourful and I can use them with my favourite colour Melon Mambo.

For this blog I decided to do a double spread scrapbook page.  I was looking through a box of photos to scrapbook and came across 3 photos of my daughter and niece.

Double Scrapbook Page

Scrapbook Page 1

Scrapbook page 1

I started off with a Basic Black 12 x 12 page as I had some of this retired card stock left.  I then cut the pinker DSP into strips to make a back ground for the main photo.  The photo was mat layered using Melon Mambo card stock and Basic Black card stock.  I already knew I wanted Cousins as the title so I used the Large Letters Framelits and the Daisy punch.  I then used the Whisper White watercolour pencil to add a line to each pencil.

Scrapbook Page 2

Scrapbook page 2

Again I started off with 12×12 Basic Black card stock.  This time I used the DSP off cuts from page 1 as the background. The photos were mat layered using Melon Mambo again but as I was laying the page out the photos moved so that they were at an angle so I decided to stick them down.  Flowers from the DSP were then fussy cut and stuck to the page using Stampin Dimensionals.  I then finished the page off with some journaling.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today and please do leave comments before you click on the Next button and visit Jacqui to see what her favourite DSP is.

Colour Combo July 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo monthly blog hop where you are given 3 colours to use for your project.  This month we have been given the colours Petal Pink, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy.  Petal Pink and Balmy Blue are 2 of our new colours following our recent colour revamp.

This month I decided to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch Framelits dies as I ordered them a while ago but have not yet to use them.

Card Base

I chose to have a Night of Navy card stock mat layer, then a Balmy Blue card stock mat layer.  The next layer is Whisper White card stock which has been embossed using the Tufted Dynamic textured impressions embossing folder.

Beautiful Bouquet Birthday Card

For the sentiment I used the ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  This was stamped using Night of Navy Ink onto Petal Pink card stock.  This was then die cut using the Square Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Frames were also cut out frames using Balmy Blue and Night of Navy card stock and the Square Stitched Shapes Framelits .

Finally I die cut some bunches of flowers, leaves and a bow using scraps and added a rhinestone to the bow to finish it off.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project.  Please do leave comments before you click on the next button to visit Anastasia and she what she has made using the 3 colours given to us.

Kre8tors July 2018 Blog Hop

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to July’s Kre8tors Blog Hop.  I am a Independent Demonstrator from the UK.  This month we have been given this card sketch.

Card Sketch

You may have joined me from Rebecca-Jo and her fabulous version of the card sketch or have just joined the blog hop with me.

As some of you will know I like to do projects that do not entail you having to have lots of products, so my card sketch has been completed using 1-2 stamp sets, 2 colours of card stock, Basic Black and Powder Pink, some Polka Dot tulle ribbon,  a 1 1/4″ circle punch and a Blackberry Bliss ink pad.

The stamp set I chose to use is Dandelion Wishes, plus a sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set.  I cut the square frame using the Layering Square framelits (B).  I masked the square in the middle so that it was covered and stamped randomly over the rest of the card stock (A).  Then I masked the card stock so only the square in the middle was showing, this was then stamped with a single image (B).

If this sounds too complicated or you do not have the framlits then you could just cut out various sized squares and get the same effect.

Finished card

I decided that the Polka Dot ribbon (C) looked better on this card rather than using a strip of card stock.  The card was finished off with a small strip of Basic Black card stock (D) and a Powder Pink circle with the sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss (E).

I hope you have enjoyed visiting me and seeing my version of the card sketch, please do leave comments before you click in the next button to visit Amy and see how she has used the card sketch.
