Welcome to July’s Kre8tors Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is Floral
Whether you have just joined the Blog Hop or have come from looking at Sandra’s lovely project, you will find some lovely projects to tempt you into having a go at doing your own projects.
For my blog this month I was torn between using some of our lovely new stamp sets or using one of our older stamp sets which carried over into this year’s annual catalogue.
I have chosen to use the First Frost stamp set and matching dies. As I tend to automatically go for the pinks, purples and blues for my projects I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and use Mango Melody ink pad for the flowers.
As you can see the flower stamps when stamped have different levels of colour. This is done by fine etching into the stamp.
Next I stamped the leaves using Old Olive in opposite corners and stuck the flowers once die cut using Stampin Dimensionals. I then mounted this layer onto a mat layer of Old Olive and then mounted onto a Whisper White card base.
The sentiment was stamped also using Old Olive and die cut using the octagonal dies. I love how they work together to make a frame.
I hope this card has given you an idea of what you can do with the First Frost stamp set and dies.
Please do leave comments as you hop around looking all the lovely projects everyone have done.
Great card Cheryl, TFS
I absolutely adore the First Frost bundle and love the colors you chose to pair with it! The brightness of the Mango Melody contrasts beautifully with the Old Olive. Really well done! Thank you for hopping with us and for sharing your beautiful floral project using a continued favorite bundle!
