2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to July’s Kre8tors Blog Hop.  I am a Independent Demonstrator from the UK.  This month we have been given this card sketch.

Card Sketch

You may have joined me from Rebecca-Jo and her fabulous version of the card sketch or have just joined the blog hop with me.

As some of you will know I like to do projects that do not entail you having to have lots of products, so my card sketch has been completed using 1-2 stamp sets, 2 colours of card stock, Basic Black and Powder Pink, some Polka Dot tulle ribbon,  a 1 1/4″ circle punch and a Blackberry Bliss ink pad.

The stamp set I chose to use is Dandelion Wishes, plus a sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set.  I cut the square frame using the Layering Square framelits (B).  I masked the square in the middle so that it was covered and stamped randomly over the rest of the card stock (A).  Then I masked the card stock so only the square in the middle was showing, this was then stamped with a single image (B).

If this sounds too complicated or you do not have the framlits then you could just cut out various sized squares and get the same effect.

Finished card

I decided that the Polka Dot ribbon (C) looked better on this card rather than using a strip of card stock.  The card was finished off with a small strip of Basic Black card stock (D) and a Powder Pink circle with the sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss (E).

I hope you have enjoyed visiting me and seeing my version of the card sketch, please do leave comments before you click in the next button to visit Amy and see how she has used the card sketch.
