Colour Combo March 2020 colours

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop

I cannot believe that we are already in March and what better colours to have this month than Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Blushing Bride.

These three colours remind me of the spring flowers that are just coming into flower – Daffodils and tree blossom.

Card Project

I started my card by looking to see what stamp set I could use and how I could make a card without having a cutting machine.

Front of card

I chose the Floral Essence stamp set and Perennial Flower punch as these types of bundles allow you to punch out numerous shapes without having to have a die cutting machine. Plus they take up less space.

Then I took a Whisper White A6 card base and cut strips of card stock in the three colours to go on top. I moved the strips of card around until I was happy with the layout.

Next I stamped and punched out the flower shapes so I could make up a flower in the three colours.

As you may have seen in my previous Blog Hops, I have fallen in love with the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and how it can be coloured by stamping an image on it.

I stamped the ‘flower middle’ stamp onto lengths of this ribbon but alternating between first generation and second generation stamping.

Stamped flower and hand made stamped ribbon

Once the ribbon was dry I stuck the ends to the back of the card stock strips before sticking on to the card base.

Then I stuck a flower on top to finish off the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally I am still deciding what sentiment I want to add as this card as it could be a birthday card, thank you card or a well done card.

I hope that seeing my card has given you ideas to have a go and use other colours from our vast range of colours. I certainly will be making some more in different colour combinations.

Please do leave comments as you hop along our blog hop.
