Scrapbooking Global July 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to July’s Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.

Scrap booking Global Blog Hop

This month’s theme is the following Scrapbook Sketch.

Scrapbook Sketch

First I decided to start with a photo and work the rest of the page around that.  I chose a photo of two of my cats when they were kittens.

Cat photo

Then I decided to use Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock to make two of the square mat layers and Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock to make the other two square mat layers.

Next I stuck the photo onto one of the Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla squares.  Once I had stamped two cats from the Pretty Kitty stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock.  I then stuck this onto one of the Crumb Cake and Soft Suede squares.

Pretty Kitty Stamp Set

For the title I decided to try the NEW Lined Alphabet stamp set.  The letters were stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock using Soft Suede ink and mat layered onto Soft Suede card stock.

As I thought the Very Vanilla page looked a little bland I used two strips cut from the Share What You Love DSP.

This then left me with two more mat layered squares to finish off.  I used one to journal on and I decided to punch two black cat shadows using the Cat Punch.

Punched Black Cats

To finish off the page I stamped Meow using the NEW Make a Difference stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my version of the scrapbook sketch.  Please do leave comments before you clink on the next button to take you to Kimberley in the USA.

Welcome to Stampin ‘n’ Crafting with cheryldiana.

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop.  I hope you have enjoyed visiting the various Blog Hops and seen some lovely Home Decor projects.  I live in a village near Newmarket, England and living in the country you get to see so many flowers.

My project is a sampler in an Ikea Ribba frame.  When I looked through the new catalogue I fell in love with the In Every Season stamp set and could picture various was of using this stamp set.

Finished Frame

First I die cut 3cm squares using the square Stitched Framelits.  Then using Basic Gray ink I stamped the various flowers onto the squares.

These were then coloured in using the watercolour pencils.  I was so lucky as a demo to be able to order Set 2 of the watercolour pencils that are coming out in August.  This gave me much more choices of colour to use.

Stamped Flowers

Then using a blender pen I carefully blended the colours together.

The sentiment from Layering Love stamp set was stamped in Smokey Slate and die cut out using a circle from Stitched Framelits.

Polka Dot Tulle Bow

For the backing I cut Smokey Slate card stock into an 8″ x 8″ square.  Using the dotty stamp from Waterfront stamp set and using Smokey Slate ink I stamped all over to make my own back ground paper.

The flowers were then stuck onto the Smokey Slate background.  The circle was stuck in the middle of the frame using dimensionals.  A bow was made using the polka dot tulle ribbon and was stuck to the circle using a glue dot.

Finished Page

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project, please do leave comments as you hop through all the Blogs in this Hop.

The next person to hop to is Mette to see her lovely Home Decor Project this month.

Stamp ‘N Hop July Blog Hop

Welcome to July’s Stamp ‘n’ Hop.

This month our theme is Favourite Designer Speciality Paper.  This fits in well with this month’s special offer from Stampin’ Up! which is buy 3 packs from the list and get another pack free.  I decided to order 4 different packs so I had plenty of choice to choose from.

I chose Garden Impressions as my favourite DSP.  These papers are very colourful and I can use them with my favourite colour Melon Mambo.

For this blog I decided to do a double spread scrapbook page.  I was looking through a box of photos to scrapbook and came across 3 photos of my daughter and niece.

Double Scrapbook Page

Scrapbook Page 1

Scrapbook page 1

I started off with a Basic Black 12 x 12 page as I had some of this retired card stock left.  I then cut the pinker DSP into strips to make a back ground for the main photo.  The photo was mat layered using Melon Mambo card stock and Basic Black card stock.  I already knew I wanted Cousins as the title so I used the Large Letters Framelits and the Daisy punch.  I then used the Whisper White watercolour pencil to add a line to each pencil.

Scrapbook Page 2

Scrapbook page 2

Again I started off with 12×12 Basic Black card stock.  This time I used the DSP off cuts from page 1 as the background. The photos were mat layered using Melon Mambo again but as I was laying the page out the photos moved so that they were at an angle so I decided to stick them down.  Flowers from the DSP were then fussy cut and stuck to the page using Stampin Dimensionals.  I then finished the page off with some journaling.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today and please do leave comments before you click on the Next button and visit Jacqui to see what her favourite DSP is.

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to July’s Kre8tors Blog Hop.  I am a Independent Demonstrator from the UK.  This month we have been given this card sketch.

Card Sketch

You may have joined me from Rebecca-Jo and her fabulous version of the card sketch or have just joined the blog hop with me.

As some of you will know I like to do projects that do not entail you having to have lots of products, so my card sketch has been completed using 1-2 stamp sets, 2 colours of card stock, Basic Black and Powder Pink, some Polka Dot tulle ribbon,  a 1 1/4″ circle punch and a Blackberry Bliss ink pad.

The stamp set I chose to use is Dandelion Wishes, plus a sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set.  I cut the square frame using the Layering Square framelits (B).  I masked the square in the middle so that it was covered and stamped randomly over the rest of the card stock (A).  Then I masked the card stock so only the square in the middle was showing, this was then stamped with a single image (B).

If this sounds too complicated or you do not have the framlits then you could just cut out various sized squares and get the same effect.

Finished card

I decided that the Polka Dot ribbon (C) looked better on this card rather than using a strip of card stock.  The card was finished off with a small strip of Basic Black card stock (D) and a Powder Pink circle with the sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss (E).

I hope you have enjoyed visiting me and seeing my version of the card sketch, please do leave comments before you click in the next button to visit Amy and see how she has used the card sketch.

SUBA Simply Amazing Business Angels, Louise Sims and Pip Todman bring you Business support training

What does SUBA stand for? SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels, and is run by Pip Todman and Louise Sims.

Back in August 2017 I attended a SUBA Training Course to help move my business into the Social Media arena.  Pip and Louise have welcomed me with open arms and are constantly helping others like me to understand the systems that they use and build the confidence to use them more so. There was another training course in February 2018, the group of  Stampin’ Up! Demo’s who attended, decided to join up to create a blog hop so that what they had learnt could be put into practice. I was lucky to join this group and be able to show you what I have made for this month’s blog hop.

June’s Blog Hop Theme – Masculine/Male

A couple of weekends ago it was Father’s Day and I am very lucky to have both my Dad and Father-in-law around.  With them both being very special people I had to make a special card for them.

I decided to use Tranquil Tide card stock to use as a mat layer.  I love using punches and decided to use the Tailored Tag Punch (after all its my surname), to punch out shapes from the retired True Gentleman Designer Series Paper (as both Dads are True Gentlemen).

These are the cards I came up with:

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today.

Kre8tors June Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to June’s Kre8tors Blog Hop.  I am a Independent Demonstrator from the UK.  As usual I am joining other Demonstrators globally to showcase items from the NEW Annual Catalogue which is now available from your demo.  Or if you are a demo you will have been able to look at it since On Stage in April.

You may have joined me from Laura and her fabulous project or am visiting me first.

There are so many amazing products available in the NEW Annual Catalogue.  Some new and some favourites.  Today I am showing a project that I designed for a Team Share that was based on the Share what you love bundles which were available as a special in May but are available in the New Catalogue.

Candle in a Box

My project shows that you do not need loads of Stampin’ Up products to make a lovely candle in a box project.

The card stock colours I used were Whisper White, Tranquil Tide and Petal Pink.

I hope you like my project.  Don’t forget to leave a comment before you hop to Rebecca and her lovely project.

May’s Blog Hop Theme – Annual Catalogue Pre Order.

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator enables me to see the new catalogue before customers and to order certain items that are available to pre-order.

In this blog hop I have decided to use the Animal Outing stamp set.

I stamped the images with Black Memento ink pad into watercolour paper.  I coloured in the images using the Stampin’ Up! watercolour pencils plus the lemon lime twist from the Lots of Happy Card kit and an aqua painter.  I love how this gives it  a subtle look.

After seeing other social posts I thought I would make a photo frame around it to make it look like the photo had just been taken.  For this I used Whisper White card stock and the largest die from the Square die set.  Lemon Lime Twist was used to stamp the leaves on the white frame.

My next step was to decide what to use as a back ground, I wanted it to look like the photo was stuck to a wall or board so I chose the Wood Textures 6×6 DSP that has been carried over to the new annual catalogue.  I love this DSP as it can be used for so many things.

These are the cards that I made:

I thought I would set a little challenge:

As you can see I have almost finished the next card but there is a space under the stamped image that just needs that little something.  My challenge is to let me know what you think this card needs to finish it.

Thank you for reading my blog.  Please do leave comments. When you are ready please clink onto the next button to take you to Deborah to see what lovely projects she has to show you.

Stampin’ Dreams May Blog Hop

Thank you for joining my blog.  Whether you have join me or have come from Jo Anne’s blog I hope you enjoy this month’s Stampin’ Dreams blog hop.

Today I am taking part in a global blog hop.  As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I love this time of year when the NEW Annual Catalogue is winging its way to each demo meaning that we can have a sneak peak and order some of the new products.

One of my main passions is Scrapbooking.  When I saw the Delightfully Detailed laser cut 12×12 pages I just had to order them.  In an earlier blog hop I showcased one of the pages that can be cut to make cards with but I also wanted to showcase the other page available in the set, which is a whole 12×12 page.

It is absolutely gorgeous and I will certainly be buying a few more packs when it is available to everyone in June.

Delightfully Detailed 12x12 paper Delightfully Detailed 12x12 sheet

Like all scrap-bookers I do have a lot of photos waiting to scrapbook and I recently found a couple of photos from my parents wedding.  Of course in 1964 most photos were black and white so the photos I found go really well with the laser cut paper.

I love our 2017-2019 In Colours and was extremely happy to find out that the 12×12 card stock has been carried over into the new catalogue.  I chose the Powder Pink card stock as it is a lovely subtle colour.

This is the scrap book page I came up with:

Wedding Scrapbook page

I finished off my journalling block with one of the corner stamps from the NEW Around the Corner stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog and seeing the fantastic Delightfully Detailed laser cut speciality paper and how you can make lovely scrapbook pages using it.

Please do leave comments if you have time and please enjoy your next visit to Sandra Robert’s blog and see what lovely projects she has for you.

Welcome to Kelly’s Birthday Blog Hop

I am so excited to be taking part in this global blog hop to celebrate Kelly Kent’s birthday.  I am based in a little village in Cambridgeshire and after being a Stampin’ Up! customer for 9 years I decided to sign up as a SU Demonstrator to share all the lovely products that are available.

Kre8tors May Blog Hop

Goodbye to the Spring/Summer Occasional Catalogue

Today’s Kre8tors Blog Hop is about saying Goodbye to the Spring/Summer Occasional Catalogue.  One of the suites in this catalogue is Myths and Magic.  I am so sad that it has not been carried over into the new Annual Catalogue as it is suitable for all ages.

Myths & Magic Suite

I started this project by making a box to hold 10 x 10 cm cards and envelopes.  Using Dapper Denim card stock and the lovely Myths & Magic Speciality Designer Series Paper.  These papers have iridescent glittered designs on one side and colourful matching images on the other.

I then designed 4 cards using the stamps, Framelit Dies and the speciality DSP.

Mermaid Card

This card I decided to have a strip of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper and to raise the mermaid and sea horse using the mini  stampin’ dimensionals.

Dragon Card

With this card I chose to have a circle of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper behind the dragon.

Knight Card

In this card I used wink of stella on his armour and put a small circle of glimmer paper behind him.

Wizzard card

Finally, with this card I put a strip of glimmer paper behind the sentiment and a circle behind the Wizzard.

For all the stamped images I coloured them in using the Stampin Markers.  I love these as they are so versatile.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project today.  Please do comment as we love reading these.

Please enjoy the rest of your ‘hop’ around the globe today by clicking the arrow to visit  Tracy  Marie Lewis and see the wonderful creations she has to share with you.
