Colour Combo May Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Colour Combo Blog Hop.

Welcome to the Colour Combo monthly blog hop where you are given 3 colours to use for your project.  This month we have been given the colours Pear Pizzaz, Pool Party and Peakaboo Peach.

As I am writing this blog after preparing for my May Quick and Easy card classes, I was all designed out on what type of card to do for this blog hop.  One of the things I love about crafting is colouring so I decided to use the Petal Passion Designer Series Papers and make a scrapbook page.

This is the page I came up with using photos from my wedding.

I love using the Stampin’ Up! write markers as they are available in every colour and are so versatile.  Of course when they start to run out you can recharge them with the matching reinker.

I absolutely adore the Petal Passion DSP and was please to be able to combine both.  Stampin’ Up’ also have a Petal Passion Memories and More set in the suite, so of course I was able to choose a one of these cards to match the DSP.  I then mounted the card and photos onto Peekaboo Peach and Pool Party card stock and made a matching journal tag in Peekaboo Peach card stock.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog and please do leave comments.  Please click on to the NEXT button below to visit Tricia and see what lovely things she has created.

Friends of SUBA April Blog Hop

SUBA Simply Amazing Business Angels, Louise Sims and Pip Todman bring you Business support training

Welcome to the Friends of SUBA Blog Hop.

What does SUBA stand for? SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels, and is run by Pip Todman and Louise Sims.   Back in August 2017 I attended a SUBA Training Course to help move my business into the Social Media arena.  Pip and Louise have welcomed me with open arms and are constantly helping others like me to understand the systems that they use and build the confidence to use them more so. There was another training course in February 2018, the group of  Stampin’ Up! Demo’s who attended, decided to join up to create a blog hop so that what they had learnt could be put into practice. I was lucky to join this group and this is my first blog with this group.

April’s Blog Hop Theme – Retiring product

This month’s blog hop is all about the retiring products from the Annual and Spring/Summer catalogues.  I am very sad to see both Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder retire this year.  I chose these colours together with Mossy Meadow as my wedding colours when I got married to my amazing husband and best friend in October 2015.  I have also chosen one of my favourite stamp sets that I bought as a Stampin’ Up! customer well before I became a demo.

One of my favourite hobbies is scrapbooking so to make a change from cards I decided to do a scrapbook page for you.  Plus I have a few spare photos of my lovely wedding bouquet.

As you can see the Flower Shop stamp set and pansy punch go well with the colours I have used.  I will be sorry to see these colours, stamp set and punch retire but of course I will still continue to use them for scrapbooking.

To start with I decided to mount my photos onto Basic Black 12″ x 12″ card stock.  It was shocked to see that this product is also retiring so I just had to stock up on this before it ran out.  Though ordering 6 packs might have been a bit over the top.  Then using Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder ink pads I stamped onto Whisper White card stock and punched out the flowers.  Then I punched out some more flowers using Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder card stock.

The punched out flowers were then arranged around the photos and stuck down using Tombow.  Finally I wrote a simple note using a white gel pen.

I have tried today to show you that we have some amazing products retiring soon.  There are of course some equally amazing products replacing those that are retiring and I hope to be able to share these with you very shortly

I hope you have enjoyed the scrapbook page that I have shared with you today.  We do appreciate reading your comments on our posts.

Stamp ‘n’ Hop April Blog Hop

Today I am taking part in a Stamp ‘N Hop with other Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators of all skill levels.  In this month’s blog hop we are showing our favourite stamp set which is on the current retiring list.  The stamp set I have chosen is one of the first sets I bought as a Stampin’ Up! customer.  It is Flower Shop and is a wonderful set of 5 different stamps that can be punched out using the Pansy Punch which is also retiring this year.

I have already used this stamp set in another blog hop this week but wanted to show you how versatile this stamp set and other Stampin’ Up stamp sets can be by using stamps to create your very own paper.

I started off with a 13 x 13 cm square of Whisper White cardstock and stamped over it with Sweet Sugarplum ink the flower.  Then using Wild Wasabi ink I stamped the small flowers from the Number of Years stamp set.   This paper was then cut into the following sizes using the Trimmer to cut the squares from the inside of the card stock.

The next step is to cut 13cm, 10cm and 7cm squares from Sweet Sugarplum card stock and mount the printed card stock onto them.  These were then stuck to a Basic Black 14cm square card base.

To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set using Archival Basic Black ink and mounted this onto a punched out flower using the Pansy Punch and Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

I have tried today to show you that we have some amazing products retiring soon.  There are of course some equally amazing products replacing those that are retiring and I hope to be able to share these with you very shortly.

Colour Combo April Blog Hop

Today I am taking part in another colour challenge, with other Independent Demonstrators, as part of the Colour Combo Blog Hop.  I am based in Cambridgeshire.  In this month’s blog we have been given certain colours to use.

The colours for this Blog Hop are:  Sweet Sugarplum, Dapper Denim and Pacific Point.

Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim are two of the 2016-2018 In Colors and will be retiring at the end of May 2018.

Sometimes after a busy day at work it is nice to come home and retire to my craft room to relax.  Today was such a day and I decided to use of my favourite stamp sets – Flower Shop.  It comes with a matching punch – Pansy Punch.  The Flower Shop stamp set has 5 different flower stamps and today I have chosen to use one that has not been used as much as the others.

One thing I love about Stampin’ Up! is that all the products match, from card stock to ink pads and marker pens.

Here is the card I came up with:

For the base I chose Dapper Denim and mounted a Whisper White base on top of it.  The next layer is Pacific Point, this is a lovely bright blue and to break up the Pacific Point card stock I added a Sweet Sugarplum strip.

I then stamped and punched two flowers in each colour and stuck one on top of the other to make a double flower.  These were placed randomly on the card base.

As I have mentioned above I love how Stampin’ Up! matches their products.  I chose a sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and decided to use matching Marker Pens to colour in the stamp using the 3 colours.  This was then stamped onto Whisper White card stock and backed using Dapper Denim as a border using the Pretty Label punch.

I hope you have enjoyed the card that I have shared with you today.  We do appreciate reading your comments on our posts.

Kre8tors April Blog Hop

Today I am taking part in a colour challenge with other Independent Demonstrators.  I am based in Cambridgeshire.  In this month’s blog we have been given certain colours to use.  The colours for this Blog Hop are:

In addition we were given 3 neutral colours as well:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Whisper White.

For my project I decided to use a stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue called Petal Palette.  I have had this stamp set a while but never got around to using it as there are so many lovely stamp sets to choose from this catalogue.

I chose to use the following colours:  Berry Burst, Wild Wasabi, Powder Pink, Basic Black and Whisper White to make a quick and easy card.

I made this card with a Basic Black base, a mat layer of Berry Burst.  I die cut 2 sets of leaves using Wild Wasabi.  The stamped in Archival Basic Black the flowers and the sentiment onto Whisper White.  The stamped flowers and sentiment were then cut out using the matching dies.

The flowers were then coloured in using our lovely Write Markers.  These are lovely pens to work with as they have a brush at one end and a normal pen nib the other.

I hope you have enjoyed my Quick and Simple card I have shared with you today.  We do appreciate reading your comments on our posts.

Colour Combo March Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

Today I am taking part in an Colour Combo Blog Hop.  This blog hop takes place on every 2nd Wednesday of each month.  Active demonstrators from all over the world are invited to come up with a project using three colours.  This month’s three colours are Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black

I decided to use ‘Petal Palette, a new set from the Spring Summer Catalogue (page 23) and design a card.

Option 1

For my first card I have used a Basic Black A5 base for the card, then layered a Pear Pizzazz card base onto Daffodil Delight card base.  By using the leaf stamp and a Basic Black ink pad I stamped two sets of leaves.  I took a length of Daffodil Delight ribbon (from the annual catalogue) and wrapped it around one end of the card bases.  Then I stamped and die cut the set of flowers and leaves which I coloured in using a Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight marker pen.  I love these pens as they have a brush end and a fine pen end. Once this was coloured in I then stuck it onto the card using stampin dimensionals.  Finally I stamped the Congratulations sentiment and die cut it out.  This was also stuck on using stampin dimensionals.

I could not decide what way round to have the colours so I had to make a second card.

Option 2

For this card I swapped over the colours of the base card.  Again the leaves and the flowers were stamped and coloured as in card 1.  I decided to stamp the Thank You sentiment and sponged Pear Pizzazz over it.  I added a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock and stamped the dots in Pear Pizzazz to which I stuck the sentiment to.

Finally I added another large flower to each card to make it more 3D and added some Wink of Stella to the leaves and the main flower.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog.   I hope that these will help to inspire you to try this colour combination for your next project.

Tick Tock, Crafty Clock

Tick, Tock, Crafty Clock

One event that I help my Upline, Sandra Roberts, out is the Sincerely Yours craft fair at Thetford.  This year the first one was in January, so to ensure that there were loads of samples and display items, a couple of Sandra’s demos spent the day together working on a number of samples.

One 3D project we worked on could not be shared as it was also one of Sandra’s retreat projects.

I love the colours that Stampin’ Up! produce especially the Melon Mambo which you will see that I have chosen for my business colour.  With this in mind I decided that as I was also holding a Perennial Birthday all day class that I would use the same set and produce my own display samples.

Sale-a-Bration January 2018

Welcome to a New Year and, of course, a New Year in Stampin’ Up! means a new Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-Bration is available.

For those of you who do not know what Sale-a-Bration is, it runs from 4th January through to 31st March and for every £45.00 you spend on items from the Annual or Occasion catalogues you are able to pick a FREE item from the Sale-a-Bration leaflet.

For my first blog of 2018 I have decided to put together a bundle that will include a FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Party Pandas and show you how to make a simple set of notelets and a display box to put them in as a present.

The bundle comprises of the following:

 Mini Pizza box  #144645  £5.50
 White envelopes   #145829  £8.25
Whole Lot of Lovely card stock  #144113  £7.25
Teeny Tiny Sentiments  #120024 (clear)  £26.00
 Total cost  £47.00
FREE Party Pandas  #147221 (clear)  FREE

First cut a A4 whisper white cardstock at 14 x 7cm and scored at 7cm.  By inserting the A4 card with the long edge at the top cut at 14cm, move along and cut at 14cm again.   Turn each of these pieces and cut into 7cm strips this makes 6 pieces 14cm x 7cm.  Score each piece in half at 7cm.

I used the cardstock from the Whole lot of lovely to make mat layers by cutting into 6.5cm squares and then another mat layer using Whisper White, cut into 6cm squares.

You could always make your notelets using the card stock and having 1 mat layer per notelet.  The choice is yours.

Then using the Party Pandas stamp set I decorated the notelets.

To make the box I cut a piece 8cm x 8cm using the coloured card stock and a 7.5cm x 7.5cm piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the same colour cardstock for the sides by cutting it into 8cm x 2cm strips.

To tie the box I used Tranquil Tide Ribbon and fixed it to the box by sticking it under the top layer and the back side layer.

Then by using that Party Pandas stamp set decorated the top.

You can leave the mini envelopes blank or decorate using the Party Panda Stanp set.

Thank you for popping by please enjoy the rest of the blog hop and looking at other ideas using Sale-a-Bration products.
