Welcome to Stampin ‘n’ Crafting with cheryldiana.
Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop. I hope you have enjoyed visiting the various Blog Hops and seen some lovely Home Decor projects. I live in a village near Newmarket, England and living in the country you get to see so many flowers.
My project is a sampler in an Ikea Ribba frame. When I looked through the new catalogue I fell in love with the In Every Season stamp set and could picture various was of using this stamp set.
First I die cut 3cm squares using the square Stitched Framelits. Then using Basic Gray ink I stamped the various flowers onto the squares.
These were then coloured in using the watercolour pencils. I was so lucky as a demo to be able to order Set 2 of the watercolour pencils that are coming out in August. This gave me much more choices of colour to use.
Then using a blender pen I carefully blended the colours together.
The sentiment from Layering Love stamp set was stamped in Smokey Slate and die cut out using a circle from Stitched Framelits.
For the backing I cut Smokey Slate card stock into an 8″ x 8″ square. Using the dotty stamp from Waterfront stamp set and using Smokey Slate ink I stamped all over to make my own back ground paper.
The flowers were then stuck onto the Smokey Slate background. The circle was stuck in the middle of the frame using dimensionals. A bow was made using the polka dot tulle ribbon and was stuck to the circle using a glue dot.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project, please do leave comments as you hop through all the Blogs in this Hop.
The next person to hop to is Mette to see her lovely Home Decor Project this month.
Welcome to July’s Stamp ‘n’ Hop.
This month our theme is Favourite Designer Speciality Paper. This fits in well with this month’s special offer from Stampin’ Up! which is buy 3 packs from the list and get another pack free. I decided to order 4 different packs so I had plenty of choice to choose from.
I chose Garden Impressions as my favourite DSP. These papers are very colourful and I can use them with my favourite colour Melon Mambo.
For this blog I decided to do a double spread scrapbook page. I was looking through a box of photos to scrapbook and came across 3 photos of my daughter and niece.
Scrapbook Page 1
I started off with a Basic Black 12 x 12 page as I had some of this retired card stock left. I then cut the pinker DSP into strips to make a back ground for the main photo. The photo was mat layered using Melon Mambo card stock and Basic Black card stock. I already knew I wanted Cousins as the title so I used the Large Letters Framelits and the Daisy punch. I then used the Whisper White watercolour pencil to add a line to each pencil.
Scrapbook Page 2
Again I started off with 12×12 Basic Black card stock. This time I used the DSP off cuts from page 1 as the background. The photos were mat layered using Melon Mambo again but as I was laying the page out the photos moved so that they were at an angle so I decided to stick them down. Flowers from the DSP were then fussy cut and stuck to the page using Stampin Dimensionals. I then finished the page off with some journaling.
I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today and please do leave comments before you click on the Next button and visit Jacqui to see what her favourite DSP is.
Welcome to the Colour Combo monthly blog hop where you are given 3 colours to use for your project. This month we have been given the colours Petal Pink, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. Petal Pink and Balmy Blue are 2 of our new colours following our recent colour revamp.
This month I decided to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch Framelits dies as I ordered them a while ago but have not yet to use them.
I chose to have a Night of Navy card stock mat layer, then a Balmy Blue card stock mat layer. The next layer is Whisper White card stock which has been embossed using the Tufted Dynamic textured impressions embossing folder.
For the sentiment I used the ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. This was stamped using Night of Navy Ink onto Petal Pink card stock. This was then die cut using the Square Stitched Shapes Framelits. Frames were also cut out frames using Balmy Blue and Night of Navy card stock and the Square Stitched Shapes Framelits .
Finally I die cut some bunches of flowers, leaves and a bow using scraps and added a rhinestone to the bow to finish it off.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project. Please do leave comments before you click on the next button to visit Anastasia and she what she has made using the 3 colours given to us.
Hello and welcome to July’s Kre8tors Blog Hop. I am a Independent Demonstrator from the UK. This month we have been given this card sketch.
You may have joined me from Rebecca-Jo and her fabulous version of the card sketch or have just joined the blog hop with me.
As some of you will know I like to do projects that do not entail you having to have lots of products, so my card sketch has been completed using 1-2 stamp sets, 2 colours of card stock, Basic Black and Powder Pink, some Polka Dot tulle ribbon, a 1 1/4″ circle punch and a Blackberry Bliss ink pad.
The stamp set I chose to use is Dandelion Wishes, plus a sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set. I cut the square frame using the Layering Square framelits (B). I masked the square in the middle so that it was covered and stamped randomly over the rest of the card stock (A). Then I masked the card stock so only the square in the middle was showing, this was then stamped with a single image (B).
If this sounds too complicated or you do not have the framlits then you could just cut out various sized squares and get the same effect.
I decided that the Polka Dot ribbon (C) looked better on this card rather than using a strip of card stock. The card was finished off with a small strip of Basic Black card stock (D) and a Powder Pink circle with the sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss (E).
I hope you have enjoyed visiting me and seeing my version of the card sketch, please do leave comments before you click in the next button to visit Amy and see how she has used the card sketch.
